What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Took the bottom cover off my spare seat, guess they used those dam rings on a portion of it. Not difficult, just annoying.

This weekend I'll be removing my seat and swapping in the new foam. Can't say i'm looking forward to it but my ass n' back will thank me later. It's def one of those things where you don't realize how bad the support is till you sit in a seat with 60k less miles.

Managed to finally get the front left bolt for the seat out w/o snapping it. It was pretty crusty in there but soaking it in lube evey hour for 4 hours and working it in and out 20 or 30 times finally worked. Yeah for me.

did you ever apply any heat to it?

No, if I did something would've caught on fire. It was only the front left bolt that was like that, same thing with the front right on the passenger side. The bolts don't go through the bottom of the car (Unlike my vic, mgm or tc exp's) so the majority of the build up was from the inside from what I could tell.

Out of the two choices, take the Mustang. I think you should keep the Mark. Mustangs are a dime a dozen. Your Dad's Mark is beautiful and unique!!

Yeah i think im better off. He's keeping the mark, I decided it really wasn't for me. This car wasn't made to have a loud exhaust and all that good stuff, I don't wanna ruin a good car. I turned down the benz, i hated the back of it, but it was quick for a little 4 banger. I have my eyes on either a 04 GT or 06 GT, time to car shop :D

Seat's done. Got late so I'm going to clean the carpet and install it 2maro. Did test it though to make sure everything worked and it did. It's also very firm like it's supposed to be. :D:D

Found out why the back portion of my old seat made a metal to metal noise, ends up it was missing a piece of rubber that seperated 2 metal sections for the lumbar thingy.

Pics are just plain terrible and really random but this is all I took.

All done. Leather is a little loose which is to be expected for 150k but the cushions are good to go.

And some more random crappy pics.

Had the front seats of my '97 re-stuffed this week and did the hub swap. What a difference the saleen wheels make.

Dude I love how your car looks lowered on the chrome 20 spokes..once I get my lowering springs and shocks in I'm gonna be excited for winter actually when my chrome 20s go back on...I think your car needs a little photo shoot the way it sits now with some good backdrops and afternoon sunlight.

Thanks kevin. The wheels have def grown on me and are a huge improvement over both my chrome 10's and the old 19's.

I'll have to drive around one day and really try to find a really unique spot. I'll barrow my dads Nikon too so I don't blind you guys with more horrible pictures. My camera has been dropped in water one too many times.

I like the way it looks too being low like it is. It's not slammed but not setting all up high either like some are. The color and the chrome 20's really set it off. JMO. I like some aftermarket wheels on Marks but there are also factory Mark wheels that I would prefer to have over any aftermarket wheel. Yours looks good as is. Nice stance, color and chrome level.

Thank you. It's came along way the last year and a half. That parts car helped alot as I was able to replace some of the parts that I modded with the factory stuff and to replace other parts I probably would've just left alone had I not came across it. I reference that parts car alot but I feel truly lucky to have gotten everything I did for the price I did. It's going to keep the mark alive for some time. :D

Sapp that looks awesome car is looking good to had a great time sweating it out at the shop. Lol.
Thanks for the help on the navi it was great to finally put a face to the names laser and Sapperfire are 2 cool guys to hang with. Ill be calling next time I'm in Texas.

Came home in my newest LSC and I am thinking it's about time I fired up my old one and took it for a drive. Been a bit to long

Haaaa, another air lover! Not sure what could be causing your check air ride though. Has to be something simple. It feels like a completely different ride now doesn't it? I know mine does. I love it on the HWY now. It just glides like it's on...... yeah, air.

You are definitely not kidding. It rides completely smooth. I was driving around with just one new one for about half a year. Having two new ones just makes a huge difference.:cool:

Pulled More stuff off the LSC): And Terry the lights look great man!!
