Been busy this weekend trying to install Gen II door panels into my brothers 93 Mark VIII. Been raining all weekend here and there. Cold outside and no Garage to work in, oh the joy.:shifty:
Got the panels on Saturday. (finally)
Taking the old panels off.
The work station.
Figuring out all the connection, man this took a long time. The trunk wouldn't open at first because the wiring was different, that took a while to figure that out. Also had trouble with the lock and unlock button lights to come on. Memory worked straight out of the box though. Pic of preliminary setup.
Cleaned things up here.
Now the last thing left is setting up the outside mirrors to work. Having a hard time with this one. I can get the passenger side mirror to go left OR right, no up and down yet. If anyone has done this, would love to know the wiring for it. BTW I am also using Gen II outside mirrors. Hope to get the turn signal and puddle lamps to work.
Well. Worked on the damn Cobra again yesterday. Installed the CCRM. Didn't work. And it acted like the PATS was going goofy. When the future ex got home, I used her remote to lock and unlock the car and then her key to try to crank it. The PATS worked okay after that but the frakkin' thing still won't start. I need to get a fuel pressure gauge. It's got a brand new ARP 255lph fuel pump but it's acting like it's not getting fuel. I had a horrible thought last night that in my haste I may have put the fuel filter on backward  I'll check that next time I work on it. I have to say that in all my years of working on cars, I have never in my life had a car give me this much frustration. I just can't figure out what the flippin' hell is wrong with this piece of $h!t little car. And it's pissing me off.
messed with The White One, swapped coolant recovery tank caps..no more leaking from the tank; burped it and refilled coolant....again, again, wiped down/cleaned weather stripping at LH door, around window....drove it, got gas, took some pics..1.5'' .lowered looks...ok I think, almost ready for tie swap then park The Brown One for hub swap
(photoshop? yes...asphalt)

I'm starting to like this car
This is how I wired up mine. I know, not the best pictures but it is all I have for now.
Yeah I have all the locks and windows done (the pics of you posted). I am stuck at the power side mirrors. BTW did you get everything to light up because my wiring looks a little different.
@Sap Yeah, I looked at that thread but no where did it show the wiring for the power side view mirrors. I know GMAN said the color coding matches up, but that's not the case for the side view mirror. I have read the 93 is different, don't know how true that is.
I think I remember Jeremi using the Gen 1 mirror position switch in one of the cars he converted.
You sure that fuel pump's not wired backwards?
I don't know. The plug was identical and plugged right into the new fuel pump. Is it possible the FP is wired differently and I need to switch the wires? That'll be fun. But if it's wired backward, would it still be getting fuel to the engine? Because it still tries to hit every so often.
It depends on the type of pump, but it is possible for some kinds of pumps to build up a slight amount of discharge pressure when running in reverse.
I saw it many times in the Navy. Occasionally, after refurb'ing a pump, the electricians would wire it up backwards, and it would do some funky things, including building a slight discharge pressure...
I'm not saying for sure that this is what your problem is, I just thought I should mention it. I'm fairly sure I remember reading about people wiring in the SVT Focus pump backward, and it still producing SOME pressure.
A lot of this could've been avoided with a fuel pressure tester.
which leads back to, at 109k, do it all? U and LCA, end links, SRB's :shifty:sway bar end links make a hell of a racket.
arthritis is generalized joint inflammation/swelling...ligaments hold bones to bones, except when they get old and compromised then experience overwhelming trauma; like a fall in the tub or down the stairs, a 300 lb linebacker, a curb at 15 mph, or huge pot hole at >45mphReplace the ball joints = bye bye clunk = now your wheel won't fly into the fender when it finally pops out of its socket.
Ya know how human bones pop out of socket... well right now yours have arthritis
I dunno if having arthritis increases a humans possibly of having a dislocated joint, but that's what'll happen to a car
