What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Are these brand new panels and how much did they cost?...Are the black door handle insert parts stock? I am doing a similar "two-tone" with the interior on mine. Replacing speaker grilles, arm rest, steering wheel and air bag with pulled parts.

Looks great!

No they are not NOS but pretty darn close, i bought them from a member on here.

And the black switches and door cups were done by me not stock.

Finally got rid of that nasty stick on wood trim:dancefool

That fake wood trim is a b*tch to get off..I had that stuff on the new (used) door panels I put on my car recently..had to use a hair dryer to heat up the glue to peel that stuff off and then scrub it with goo gone to get all the extra stuff off..my finger tips were nearly bleeding when I was done lol..nice thing though is the rubberized coating under the fake wood was flawless :)

I had to use a hairdryer too and then used the hairdryer on the adhesive and rolled it off with my finger.

Well didnt do anything to the mark other than park it in the garage for the day..buut I did however have a fun filled relaxing day off yesterday..a friend of mine took the day off to take his car out to straightline performance to have a new true dual systm made for it so I drove out there with him to drop it off..his t/a is the one on the right.

The shop he brought it to works primarily on ls1s and late models..occatioally you'll see a mustang in there but when we arrived I was pleasantly surprised to see this cool little bird sitting out front..looked pretty badass with the cowl hood and black saleens. The guy had some massive tires on the rear..didnt look to see what size but they surely hung out past the fender a bit. I peeked inside and saw there was some custom shifter for a manual trans in it..it looked kinda funky though, looked like the shifter linkage was coming out from under the dash, it was deffinetly a work in progress, still cool though, I'd like to know what was under the hood.

And then to end the day I went to a car show nearby home..must have been the first show of the season since the turnout was pretty bad but I came acoss this fox mustang. First 5.0 swapped fox I've seen in person..whoever did the work did a real nice job. The rest of the car was amazingly clean also..original owner bought new, all original with the excption of running gear and hubs/wheels..sounded very tame too. Deffinetly a sleeper.

This weekend I washed my 97's, then took more random shots of them at my house. Had a couple Mark VIII friends over on Saturday & we ate sh!t with our Marks, Painted the rear window molding on my blue '97, installed the CobraStar logos on the Bullitt wheels, fixed the neon on my blue '97 & cleaned the inside panel between the neon & the trunk. Overall a very nice couple days.

Stopped in the stealrship to have my AC checked out not workin....they put in a new compressor less than yr ago so it bums me out...taking it in thursday...plannning to take a trip to MD and haul rest of my bro's tools to him in a Uhaul. My Dad had a small trailer that he would move stuff with back and forth from his home in CO and his home in KC...This Mk8 is a workhorse! But I treat her like an old lady!...I still need to replace the p side motor mount w a new one and the d side inner/outer bushings on the UCA's on the IRS...gawd I am starting to speak in car acronyms...its AOK ...SNAFU! TTYL It's good to be the king! ;):D:cool:

Drove my '98 to work today cause I didn't feel like shifting the C1500 today.

Should take it tomorrow so I can fill it up on cheap 93 gas too :wrench

Got rid of my rattley factory shocks for some Sensa Tracs from American Air. YIPPEE!!!! No more rattles. Thanks, Eddie!!! Happy. :D

on The Brown One: removed the relay from my failing HID's, so far it looks like that was the cause for failure- working okay without it....went to adjust the up/down screw on the headlight but the black plastic piece is spinning with the screw, so no adjusting...yet
---
gearing up to continue front end rebuild on The White One, should get parts soon

Today, as my 98 LSC is currently not running (garbage battery) and i have the ABS pump removed for fixing, all I did was boost her up and let her run. Rev'd it up a bit for the hell of it and cranked a couple songs before heading off to work. :wrench Tomorrow I hopefully can start working on the ABS problem.

Just drove it today...Stopped by the jy to look for a shifter handle that was better then mine, (black with a black button would be good). They had a cougar that was burned :( and a t-bird that didn't look half bad....may have to go back and see what they want for it. No Mark's anywhere around here!

it is good. that's what i did.
the shifter came with a chrome handle, but its an easy swap.

I had to go to Ft. Lauderdale for TV training (aprox 400 mile round trip). I traded my 98 for my friend's 05 Navigator. I have discovered it is the most comfortable vehicle I have ever driven. My friend has discovered he has never driven a car that turns so many heads. While in Ft. Lauderdale, I had the privlege of driving my friends 98 with the termintor motor swap. I can safely say it is the fastest vehicle I have ever driven. It's been a fun 48 hours! Now my friend doesn't want to give me my car back!

Yes...but my shifter button has been broke for year's, (button is broke and spring is missing) right now I'm looking for a black handle with a black button.
Check the For Sale section:shifty:
I did but...all I seen was a black handle with chrome button. I was looking for black with black.

Well i put my 17" Cobra R's on yesterday and look what i found. The emergency brake line on the rear passenger side broke, i didn't know it was broke until i changed wheels. The brake line wedged it self between the rim and the sway bar, i have the brake line zip tied to the sway bar for the time being until i can get it fixed.
