Still looking good, at least she has a nice home to sleep in.

I re-wired my Alpine speakers last night so instead of going from the head unit to the factory amp to the speakers, it's a direct line. Also applied dynamat around each speaker. Also installed some 97 door strikers I had laying around. Working on my Gen II mirror wiring tonight.

Indeed, My car is so bastardized with other year mark parts I forget what year it really is. 93 sil plates,96 LSC head lights, 98 air bag, 97 interior, 98 air susspension, 94 steering wheel, yada, yada, yada.....

Haha you and me are in the same boat kinda. Mine is a 93 with all lsc parts and I have put in 97 black door panels and quarter panels... and it has a 95-96 double din dash. It also has gen 2 mirrors. I want to get a 97 ebony airbag with the lincoln logo next. BTW if it is not asking too much I have got everything for the mirrors wired except for the turn signal which I have pulled out the wire thru the door into the interior which I'm going to wire to the front signal lights... but my question is for the mirror control of the gen 2. I'm right now using my old controller for my gen 2 mirrors but I couldn't get the gen 2 mirror control to work with the mirrors. It lights up and I can get it to turn one way only. If you could take some pictures on how you wired yours I would really appreciate it.

ok so this weekend was get the lincoln clean for boscobel, so while we were at it we decided to do the bird too....sooo purdy and it occurred to me i need to do more engine shots of the bird...oh well next time

Daggone tasty rides, Chicken! Lovin your 8 bigtime. I will be channeling you guys at Boscobel all weekend. Safe travels and have fun! :D

Well I installed my led dash lights today. Only did gauges and turn signals so far, going to be ordering more to do all of the warning lights along the bottom and a few other things but here's some pics: View attachment 828460594 View attachment 828460595 View attachment 828460596
Pull apart dash to get to the instrument cluster..View attachment 828460597 Open the back of the instrument cluster and reveal the lights View attachment 828460598 Twist and pull bulbs out View attachment 828460599 Original bulb View attachment 828460600 LED replacement and original bulb View attachment 828460601 Insert LED bulb into cluster (this one is fuel gauge) View attachment 828460602 Replacing turn signal. Put it all together then had to check if bulbs were in proper way, had to adjust a couple, then replace dash and done. Fun times..

I had a friend with a 2005 Grand Prix GTP. It was pretty nice. Was a little slower than my 98 (stock at the time).

I like my G8 GT better though... :D

So do I. :)

I'm not diggin' that body style though, I was thinking about the gen before. I've always had a special place in my heart for those. A gt or gtp 2dr,under 100k and leather is what i'd be looking for. I'll keep looking.

I had a few friends with the 97-03 GTPs..they were quick cars for what they were, a simple pulley made a huge difference. Now adays those things are dirt cheap, you could probably find a clean lower mile one for under $5k pretty easily. In my opinion they were quite a bit faster than a stock mark viii, or at least they felt faster..they pull pretty hard.

Picked this beast up for a grand last week and finally had time today to work on it. I almost didn't buy it because it looked so bad. Paint was grey, seats torn, weird noises everywhere, non-working windows, moonroof stuck open, oil spewing from the oil housing adapter, lots of error messages, broken door handles, non-opening fuel door etc etc etc.

Well its all fixed now and the paint is almost done. Bought a new Dewalt polisher just to bring the paint back. 2 years of no washing and Texas sun did quite the number on the paint. :(

New control arms, brakes, tie rods, seats, door handles, regulator, coil conversion and tires and I am tired. LOLZ

Now time to put her up for sale. :)

Nice find. Starting to think I paid too much for mine lol... Should finally have her DD'ing tomorrow and out of the carport after the new socks and shoes get put on.

:leghumper

That's pretty much the exact one i'd want, wish it had a little less mileage though. Still caf and looks to have been very well taken care of.

Yeah the center was painted grey as was the wood. Should have seen this heap before Sapperfire and I worked on it all day. This one quarter is how the whole car looked.
Even the wheels were horrible. Sapper thought they were just brushed Octos. LOL

Sapper did the paint buffing. I just bought the $250 Dewalt. LOLZ. I only did the interior, regulator, sunroof, brakes, ignition, seats.........
