What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

I know I say this everytime someone posts pics of those generic led strips....But why? Why?
Rest easy, the strips have been removed. Went for a ride last night, and there's plenty of light. The drl/fog lights do a great job, and I broke a wire to the strips.

For the first time ever last night, I had to help my power antenna retract. :( it was obviously because it was cold and the grease was thick, it worked fine all day today. Crappy. This car despises cold in the worst way. Hopefully tomorrow is the last day she will have to operate this year. It broke my heart watching her get snowed on, but at least all it had to do was sit and get snowed on. Could have been worse.

It's your car and you can do what you like, I just think they look extremely tacky on cars that didn't come from the factory with them.

Yours looks fine because it's hidden. 9 times out of 10 visible aftermarket led strips wrapped around headlight housings will look bad, reminds me of people that used to abuse that chrome trim tape...Or this guy.

Dayum...

My '96 is finally done for the year. Today, my winter wheels passed state inspection, which was a giant PITA by the way, and for the next six or so months I'll be rocking a 2002 Montana with a billion miles on it. A beige one. I'm wondering where all of the power has gone... >.>

Found out why the front wheel bearings are so easy to change. It's because both front calipers are junk and one side has a pin seized in the bracket. The nearest place to get a new bracket is an hour away. What a cluster.

Pin came free. Now it's new calipers, ceramic pad with drilled and slotted rotors new wheel bearings. And the wheels are on correctly from what I've been told. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1415492223.995145.jpg

I switched the back two last weekend when they were off to bleed the air from doing the rear brake lines. I'm sure I'll have to tell belle tire so they don't mix them up when I get new meat for winter.

Should be torqued to around 100-105 ft lbs. That doesn't look like a torque wrench. I do all my wheels at 105.

On one of my cars, when I first got it, I broke a socket, and bent a breaker bar, (with a cheater extension), trying to get the wheels off. They were that tight, not rusted on.

How long did it take to get finished? I am at the point where i cannot put it off any longer. MPG -13, with new plugs and clean intake. Capt. Hook? Thanks for a terrifying mental picture.

Will you come to Portland, Oregon and do mine? It appears you have experience with the blend door thing. My previous "fix" has failed.

Getting the power steering hose replaced tomorrow. I blame it on the Canadian air.

Today I did the door hinge repair and man what a difference! (And PITA)

After that I followed it up with replacing the bent tie rod and getting the alignment done... again.

Since the new trans a couple weeks back she is like a different monster. Only thing left is spray some new paint on here.
