Looks bad. Got your PM, I called and left you a message. I'll lend you mine, just make sure you get it back to me. I don't want ot be without one too long incase I run into one of those infamous MODOT holes.

Purchase a butane torch and a large head hammer. Heat rim slightly on bend and carefully hammer rim back into shape. If this is your rim in the lower pictures this method will surely work.

You have nothing to lose; if you do it right it's a permanent repair. I cant tell but if this is the finished (pretty) side of the rim, be sure to use a small block of wood to prevent hammer marks.

I agree i think you can bend that back enough for it to hold air. i've been able to do it to worse. actually are you sure it won't hold air now? it might if you try to fill it again

I i do that ill have marks and the rim wont be perfect. I guess I could do that as a temp. fix until I find out what MODOT is going to do about it.

I called again to see how long the process takes and the lady said about 2-4 weeks. Then i asked what am I supposed to do unitl then. She said they MAY be able to get me a rental, but i'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to see whats up with that.

the ls wheels are 5X108 (5X5.25) wich happens to be the same bolt patten volvo uses. I have not tested this but any 200, 700 including 760 and 780, 900 not 960, v, or s series wheel should fit. I belive the offset of the ls rims is a 60, and the fwd volvo's are like 40 or so, the rear wheel drive ones are 20 or so. So the wheel will stick out a bit, this may be enough to get you home though. The fwd rim should stick out less. Did you call brad at 850 customs to try to track down a new rim? Sounds dumb but but I always see it in your sig so I thought I would ask. I have had a rim repairs, whoever did my rim was a jerk, the rim is still egg shaped. If you can find a new rim I reccomend just doing that. It wasn't worth the repair fee unless you have a very reputable rim repair shop.

Yeah I called Brad and he's ready to ship new rims, but I'm waiting to hear about what MODOT will do. I dont have the money right now to put towards more rims. But I will see what I'm going to have to do hopefully tomorrow after I talk with the claims guy at MODOT.

Your Signature says :)

"Need rims? Contact Brad at 850 Customs at 850 390 3553 or AIM him at Brad850customs."

Why not go with him

I said I before, I'm going to get my rims from him. but for the time being until i see what modot is going to do. im just going to put a spare on it. If modot says theyre not paying thene im gonna order a new rim from brad. he only charges 175 while places around charge 300 per rim
