    Rotors: drilled, slotted, or both?

I have used both. Slotted are hard on pads and drilled can crack. Stick with standard vented rotors. They are just fine for 95% of anything you will ever do with your car.

    The LS is gone...

I am still taking the wheels into consideration. Although the ones that are on it are painful to look at, the benefit of those ugly wheels is the design/engineering that went into them to obtain low drag at a very light (14.1 LBS) weight. I have been watching the hybrid forums for people who...

    The LS is gone...

I paid MSRP for the Civic AND got them to give me $100 more than I owed on the Lincoln. The story is as follows.. 9 days prior to the trade, I found a 2006 Civic EX on their lot used with 8000 miles on the clock. I went back for it 2 days later and it was gone. They then tried to get me in...

    The LS is gone...

I traded the LS in on Friday for a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid. Now, before you laugh... I drive 400 to 500 miles per week and premium here is $3.47 per gallon. They also made me a deal I could not turn down. Persistance paid off. I worked over the locval Honda dealership for several (9)...

Well, Today The LS went away. I have proven once and for all that persistance pays off with dealerships. I paid MSRP for a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid (they are going for $3000 over MSRP) AND they gave me my pay off balance in trade for the LS. Yes, they gave me $15,300 for my 2001 Lincoln LS...

FS: 2001 LS V8 Sport with Ghost flames

The nicest thing about this is that I am not in a hurry. I don't HAVE to sell it. I just want to shave some of my monthly expenses. Wife is 7 months along and (although she says I am over reacting) I want save more money just in case. If I sell it, great. If not, no worries.

You know, I guess I just thought it was called "Medium Blue Metallic". If it has some special name, I have no idea what it is.

FS: 2001 LS V8 Sport with Ghost flames

Gonna reduce the price based on some local prices with the miles I have with a minor adjustment for the mods. I am thinking closer to $16,000 to $16,500. Any thoughts?

It's all about being patient and who you present the car to. I put it here to let everyone know mostly out of courtesy based on the fact that I have had help with it from folks around here. I really do not expect to sell the car to anyone here based on the simple fact that if you are visiting...

BIGGEST SYSTEM EVER!!! IN AN LS... you know it

I have always been a fan of large audio set ups in cars but a concern I would have with the LS and having to generate that kind of sealed space in the rear of the car is that if you plan on a sealed enclosure, the amount of weight you are putting over and behind the rear axle is going to ruin...

Factory 6 disc acting odd (Clipping or Skipping)

Looks like my next step is to just toss it in the round file then... Good thing I have a spare (aftermarket) Alpine laying around. Now if only the dash kit for the LS wasn't so fugly.
