I have used both.
Slotted are hard on pads and drilled can crack.
Stick with standard vented rotors. They are just fine for 95% of anything you will ever do with your car.
I am still taking the wheels into consideration. Although the ones that are on it are painful to look at, the benefit of those ugly wheels is the design/engineering that went into them to obtain low drag at a very light (14.1 LBS) weight.

Today The LS went away. I have proven once and for all that persistance pays off with dealerships.
I paid MSRP for a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid (they are going for $3000 over MSRP) AND they gave me my pay off balance in trade for the LS. Yes, they gave me $15,300 for my 2001 Lincoln LS...
The nicest thing about this is that I am not in a hurry. I don't HAVE to sell it. I just want to shave some of my monthly expenses. Wife is 7 months along and (although she says I am over reacting) I want save more money just in case.
If I sell it, great. If not, no worries.
Gonna reduce the price based on some local prices with the miles I have with a minor adjustment for the mods.
I am thinking closer to $16,000 to $16,500.

I have always been a fan of large audio set ups in cars but a concern I would have with the LS and having to generate that kind of sealed space in the rear of the car is that if you plan on a sealed enclosure, the amount of weight you are putting over and behind the rear axle is going to ruin...
Looks like my next step is to just toss it in the round file then...
Good thing I have a spare (aftermarket) Alpine laying around.
Now if only the dash kit for the LS wasn't so fugly.
