Great write-up. Just finished changing the pads and rotors on all four wheels. Retracting the rear calipers was the only really tricky part. The tip on using the channel locks was great!!! Thank you :D

I would only go with the '02 if you really like the styling of that model better. The '03 does have a lot of improvements. Don't go with the V-6, you won't be happy. I had a similar decision and chose the '02 LSE because I really like the looks of that particular model.

If anyone has a picture of how the anti rattle clips are installed, that would be appreciated. I assume the rear pads do not have these clips.

I replacing my OEM pads and rotors with PowerSlot rotors and aftermarket ceramic pads. The new front pads come with shims, but nothing that looks like the anti-rattle clips on the OEM pads. Do I need to reuse the anti-rattle clips from the OEM pads? Thanks.

I really only use SST to pass. I will drop it down a gear or two and then I don't have to wait for the transmission to kick down.

My understanding is that only the brake pads are different between the non-Sport and Sport/LSE. The stealership told me the Sport pads are a more aggressive material that produces more brake dust, but otherwise they are identical. Hopefully that is the case and you should be OK.

Those emblems will only fit on '00 and '01 LS's. There was a flat spot on the bump strip they glued onto. The '02 LS does not have that flat spot.

I second that. The paint will end up peeling off if the skirts are not prepared properly and you will have a mess in a few months.
