How often does this happen to you?

I wish I'd taken a picture of some 'interesting' parking at my local Lowes, a few days ago. Some tosser had parked his pick-up at an extreme angle (so he was covering two spaces) and was only two thirds into the space, so the bed of the truck was sticking out right into the road.

After reading this and the using of handicap stickers, I will make it my mission to park close to those cars that are way out there and the ones that double park. Why don't you guys just buy those inflatable bags and hang over your doors.

HUH? I have thought of starting a new FAD of bolting a trailer size tire to each car door,

What is wrong with people parking 'way out there'

I always do that - doesn't endanger or inconvenience anybody.

and now I will make it my mission to find your car parked all close to someones
nice car then I will tow it and dump it into the nearest lake
and you should be posting in a nice stamp collection site not on any car fourm

Personally I think you are asking for it when parking away from everyone. You look like you are better than everyone.

I don't agree with that, at all.

I've never looked at a car parked out the way and thought any such thing. I don't park out the way because I think I'm better than anyone else. I do it because I care about my property and also because it's often quicker/easier to park out the way and walk a bit further, rather than up close to the store where the congestion is.

I do this....

piece of mind nobody will hit my car, and a littler excercise never hurt anyone from walking to the store form the BFE.

except one time. had my old honda accord- not bad for a 94. some dickheads in (Im assuming) soccer mommys new durango pull in next to me, sideswipe the drivers door and rip off the moulding. They point, laugh, and leave to a different store(once again, Dumbasses. I was 16 and still had more respect). I watched the whole thing from my stores window. I wont go into details, but new car doors arent as strong as they used to be.

nowadays I park in the corner, passenger/passenger with my buddies Z28. cram to the side, theres a good 3 deet to the enxt spot

I am not saying I would open my door into the car, or damage it just park next to it. The real problem is old people, not respect, when they open the door they are no strong enough to hold it going to the middle detent that is in the hinges, plus fat people, my dad will take 2 spots as long as there are a lot to spare so he can open his door without causing damage, oh yeah he is fat.

well, i had an estimate done of how much its going to cost me to get all the little bity dings out that can be PDRed and then there are 2 that need filler probably, and then repainted ( because the previous owner washed it on accident with a paint removing rag and screwed the clear coat to hell..that and the rear bumper has major paint fade :( .. is going to come to the sum over over $4000... so yes my car isnt perfect, but i treat it like it is because itll never look good again if i dont keep it protected...i yell at my girl if she drags pebbles or leaves in it with her feet

lol, what's wrong with using a handicap placard if you have one? I do drive my dad places sometimes but if he's not in the car, I still use it and will continue to use it. Keeps me close and away from stupid people that don't know how to open a damn door. We even have spaces here for expecting mothers..... and they're right next to the handicap spots.

i park in the expecting mother spot all the time if theres a girl in the car with me..lol...i say if shes pregnant..let her do some exercise to the door, its good for the baby anyway ( walking..i didnt say she could run a marathon)

Parking in a handicap spot and not being handicapped is a douche bag move. Walking wont kill you, just park way out like the rest of us.

Please don't park in the expecting mothers parking if you ain't got someone pregnant...My wife was recently pregnant and whenever we go to the store we see a women who's smoking and not even pregnant parks there and we would have to park far...what if my wife was in labor in the store...how far would she have to walk in pain to the car to get her to the hospital...walking is good when you're pregnant but too much walking is bad for pregnancy too...

kind of a dick move I wouldn't make my wife walk that far I would just go get the car
and what does smoking have to do with anything

Yeah, I don't agree with parking handicap or expecting mothers spots.. They're there for good reason. Sometimes I do complain that there are too many for all the more business a store gets, but still. Those are the kinds of acts that are turning the world into a place where we need to park away from people in the first place. People get crapped on, and crap on others in return.

I park way out there...I mean way out there...you need a map to get to where you are actually going...lol yeah I hear it from all my friends, I offer to drop them off, but for some reason they always take the walk with me l)

On a brighter side to the far out parking, a few years ago I started a thread similar to this one*, except when I park Tux "way out there", other exclusive rides would be chilling with him when I returned, I found jag's, beamers, but the best was a GORGEOUS MASSIVE BLACK BENTLEY!!!! to top if off, when I got out to Tux, I snapped a quick shot, and the owner of the Bent came running out to compliment me on my Mark! lol Tux always attracts a crowd.

Lets start a "way out there" parking click - and you have to do it at an angel, can't be parked straight! No kidding, it's happened to me several times.

;)

Smooches!
*I'd have done a search and posted the thread...BUT LVC SEARCH ENGINE SUCKS!!!!!!

I would too but she would need me by her side for support, by the time I run to the car and drive back is still time lost

smoking means either she ain't pregnant or not give a fucc to even have a baby anyways

NEVER EVER PARK IN EXPECTING MOTHERS SPACES!!!!! Unless you have been pregnant and think that it is a walk in the park.

I do my best to live right - and let God do the crapping.

Just so you know my very loving wife and devoted
Mother she smoked through her pregnancy she did
cut way back but with quiting when pregnant there is also a danger of complications with the change in the mothers body especially if she doesn't deal with stress well

True, stress is worse.

Just think about all the people who grew up fine with mothers that smoke.

Politics.

smoking sucks for your body - it's not rocket science.....

correct but it is not rocket science that there are other things just as
bad and worse
I am not a smoker but I hate how suddenly everyone knows how everyone else
should live there lives

And "next year" it will be alcohol, and prohibition all over again. Hell even protected sex can kill you.

People should just live their lives. If nothing else it's good population control.

I also park next to the nicest car i can find. Theres been times i've parked way out there to come back and it looks like a car show in the parking lot. People that own nice cars and keep them nice, most of the time have respect for other nice cars and people who keep them nice.
