Looking for total parts and tools list for suspension

75, 78..same thing, great deal...I wasn't gonna do UCA's now- mine look pretty good, but if I could get the deal you got I'd r/r now...pm me w/ info?
also, over the last few days I got my entire front end disassembled other than the fwd SRB's and UCA's....if you want pix or run into trouble lmk, it's fresh in my head for now...ha

rock auto is almost spot on with the low side of ebay. id check there.

Looks like. Was wrong. And those where just plains TRW arm in a problem solver box

Moog web site lists those UCA's (K8598, K8596) as fitting 89-97 cougars and t-birds..this means they also fit mark VIII's?

They also fit mark viii's however they lack the ball stud for mounting the ride height sensor for the air ride. Not a problem if you are converted to coils

What Todd said is correct. I happen to be converted so i can save a few dollars by using those instead of the ones for the mark which is considerably more costly. The on downside is if I decide to go back to air I would need to order a new set and install those.

That's why I have some old worn out ones still laying around, I can cut and weld new studs on if the mark VIII ones are to hard/expensive to get.

Most of my parts should arrive from rock auto tomorrow. However I am still not sure what to do about the strut rod bushings. I would hate to order the ford ones if i cant get the the other ones off with out damaging the ferrel or whatever that part is called. However I dont really wanna put the moog bushings on either.

The SRB's through the LCA's come with the metal sleeves already in them from the dealer (an order item). It's the one's through the frame (also an order item) I had to make the spacer's for. Make sure the one's through the frame are good or your going to be doing it again. It all need's to come off to replace them. I just thought I would do all mine at once, since I already had it apart.

I did my front end last week. I tried every which way to get the back nut for the upper control arm on the drivers side. I disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder and unbolted it from the booster. Moved it aside and it took 5 seconds to get that nut after that

this was waiting for me when i got home today.

now i just need to get my hands on those damn strut rod bushings and get er done. i hope im not missing any bushings that would be a good idea to replace while im in that area

well my first experience with rock auto wasnt really great. all the boxes look like they were man handled and stuff. one of the tie rods was missing the baggy with the lose parts on it. on a positive note they have very late hours for customer service. up to 11pm eastern and they are just going to **** me out a new tie rod with the missing parts and i dont even have to send them back the old one. sadly they ship out of california so its another 4-5 day wait means this wont happen this weekend :(

I can not wait to ride on a good suspension and not worry about my wheels

I just ordered all the OEM strut rod bushings from fordpartsgiant.com. Cost me $70 + shipping and tax for all bushings, both sides.

Yes, I have searched around the forum however i cant seam to compile a complete list to redo my front end suspension. I have already ordered some moog upper and lowers control arms. Im looking at http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=203555&cc=1188547 these for the sway bar links

so what else do i need. while im doing it i want to get it all done. so tie rods. bushings tools and so on. of course links to parts either on ebay or rockauto would be awesome as well. ive seen a lot of people talk smack about the blue moog rear strut rod bushings. im pretty sure my car is stock on the front end. so what would be the next best thing to stick up there. i dont really want to buy the ones from super coup performance. i think that guy likes to price gouge the crap out of people.

anyway what do ya suggest. and why do you suggest it.

thanks in advance.

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/moreinfo.php?pk=202442&cc=1188547 and maybe these as well.

this is what i have coming
MOOG K80053 Control Arm/Ball Joint Assy
MOOG K80055 Control Arm/Ball Joint Assy
Moog K8596 Suspension Control Arm and Upper Ball Joint Assembly
Moog K8598 Suspension Control Arm and Upper Ball Joint Assembly

was this the original list you were looking for?

actually no. that is thread i used first. I have had that thread booked more for quite some time. Im just really unsure about needed bushings. whats even more so is none of the part numbers todd has listed in his pic match the ones ive seen from other threads. also it seams like no dealerships have a picture of the products either. that makes it even more annoying when trying to order a part.. meh who knows. ive been delayed by 2 weeks on this project anyway because of an F-up with rock auto. so i still have plenty of time to find what i need and get it shipped i hope.

Could you compile all the stuff you bought for the front suspension in your first post, maybe with prices and links/part numbers? An up to date parts list would be pretty useful.

For some reason the link isn't working for me. Not sure if I have seen his thread before.

I've got mine removed (oem UCA's) anybody with air shocks want em, they're yours for the cost of shipping....if you want I can cut out the section with the ball/sensor union to minimize costs..now if I can ever get the rest of my front end parts I'll get my White '96 off jack stands

well, it looks like I had used parts lined up to rebuild my front end but someone decided to ____ me over, so I'm shopping for parts now;
does anybody opt to just replace JUST the lower bj's instead of the entire LCA's? if no, why not? I know Mike wrote a how-to on front lower bj's...
