My new LSE

Looks like a bumper respray should be added to the list.

The bumpers on these cars dont hold up as well compared to others.

Theres alot of bugs AND chips on my front end. A respray is on the list for sure. I want to do some type of rear spoiler too so I will wait till I get that so I can paint it all at once.

Very nice such an improvemen. I'm deinitely copying your frond end look hope you don't mind. Gave up on finding a vinyl to match the LSE color scheme and now I'm going black. Glad you did it so I know how good it looks man.

Really saved that LSE and kept her on the road great job

Thanks. I liked how it turned out too. I was thinking about that mesh stuff going around lately but I like the black alot. hmmmm...Maybe black mesh?

Black mesh would be ideal but you gotta pick up a Gen2 grille for the 2-piece design. But then in my opinion I would want to loose the lower grille in favor of matching black mesh to match.

Do it I bet it would look awesome. Alax has the hook up on that stuff

I don't believe you need anything. There will be a small barely noticeable gap between the bottom of the Gen1 headlights and the Gen2 bumper tho. I'm pretty sure you have to buy a certain piece when you install the Gen2 headlights tho.

oh cuz I thought I read on here some where that was all you need becuase I only want to do the conversion if there will be no gap Im kinda picky about that

I got my chrome/amber bulbs in the mail today. I just bought cheap ebay ones for now. I am converting to HID and L.E.D soon so I didnt want to waste alot of money on bulbs right now. I am still waiting to get my clear side markers but I got the chrome/amber bulbs for them too.

Looks good, cleans up the headlights just a tad more.

Looks nice, my favorite mod on a silver ls is color matching the headlight bezel..

Took a few pics today, I finally got my clear corners installed. My new fog light has not arrived yet.
Next mods...drilled rotors and new pads, painted inner headlight bezel, HID/LED exterior lighting.
I am going to start repairing my 19" Mille EVR's in a few weeks.
I also need new tires and a trans flush so I am taking donations :D

Well I've made some progress on the LSE. I got the new fog light in, got new tires (cheap Nankangs for now as I am refinishing the old Mille EV-R's...cant wait for that to be done), bought the lifetime alignment at Firestone, fixed the broken ashtray, and got the transmission flushed at the dealer.

Current status...After flushing the trans I noticed some minor rough shifting and a slight whinning noise while stopped in drive. I will be ordering a new valve body and solenoid from 800700trans.com, filter, pan gasket and Transgo shift kit this weekend. Hopefully this will cure any trans issues for awhile.

Also I have a CEL on due to bad CATs from my hard start issue I solved by reversing my COP wires. I will be ordering Magnaflow CATs soon and also doing a custom 2 1/2" CAT back system. I have been driving my '00 LS and I love the sound of the exhaust so I will have to make the LSE sound even better. X-pipe for sure but I am still undecided on the mufflers. Basanni's may be the final decision but I have some Magnaflows just sitting around so I may just use those for now.

Also ordered the cobra stars but Geno called and said they were all sold out and it would be a week or 2 before he had some more. He was suprised they sold so fast. I still want a set of the old silver LVC stickers so I may trace the ones on my '00 and have a local vinyl shop color match me a set.

Eibachs, drilled rotors, HID's, angel eyes and color matched headlight inserts are also happening very soon.

This winter I plan on removing the front bumper and repairing the crack that goes thru the bottom of it and making a custom fiberglass license plate holder in the middle of the lower grill. I will also remove the rear valance and repair a crack there as well. Then I will fix a few dings and scratches, buy a spoiler and have the whole car painted in time for the national meet in STL next summer.

car

wow yours almost looks identical to mine..Kinda did the same thing you did.Mine was wrecked though..Got it for $1200 at the auction.I actually just picked up another lse in black from a kid who thought the motor was blown and it ended up just being timing chain tensioners..Cant tell you guys what i paid for it though:shifty:

Its coming along nicely. Can't wait to see everything on it.

Thanks for all the comments fellas. I just ordered my trans parts last night and I am going to have the tires removed from my 19" mille EV-R's so I can have them sand blasted and start refinishing them. I am going to order the Eibachs and drilled rotors next weekend after the trans repair/upgrade is successful. Then the exhaust....

If you painted your upper and lower grills black it would be hard to tell our cars apart. What size are those wheels 18's or 19's?

I gotta tell ya, I'm not a big lover of silver or gray cars but yours is pretty awesome. Just the right touches that make it stand out. Well done sir!

Thanks, I wasnt a fan of the silver, I wanted black but I couldnt pass it up for the price. It's growing on me, I need to black out the window trim and get rid of the chrome pillars and I think i'll like it even more.

The pillars might actually look good if they were color matched to the car.

I've always wanted a silver gen1 lse.. I'd sell my black sport for a silver lse with higher miles in a heart beat. Ur car is looking great Hite!

mine are 19's .I really wanted to lower it but the offset is too low.Yours fell up the fender pretty good,so you must have some 245/55/18's or something like that..

Mine are 245/45/18. When I get my 19's refinished i will go with 235/40/19 up front and 265/35/19 in back, with eibachs

I actually thought abput this, I am going to photoshop with the pillars body colored and do another with all the chrome blacked out to see what I like better

Hey Hite, what retainer clips are you using for your engine compartment (and where did ya get em). Those look pretty good and my 02 LSE is missing a good 90% of them.

Thanks in advance!

Well it been awhile since I updated my progress on my LSE. Ive been busy with the heatshield thing, work, kids, life, etc...I purchased the ASMI intake tube as most of you already know and bought a cheap Spectre filter for now. I will be addeing a K7N filter soon.

Tonight I ordered a PowerMaxx 200 amp alternator, and a new drivers side window regulator. I will be doing springs, exhaust and brakes soon.

I am also having my 19" Mille Miglia EVR's repaired as I have mentioned before. These will look awesome when they are done.

Tonight I pulled my valve covers, fuel rail and IAC and painted them with high temp aluminum color paint. Heres some pics for your entertainment....
