My new LSE

Update

As some of you know the alternator upgrade didnt go as expected. I tried the PowerMax ebay alt and that didnt go well. Sent it back and purchased the DB Electrical 200 amp alt and that acted the same as the PowerMax. So for now I bought a used factory alt for $37 at a local salvage yard.

Since I last posted I have been chasing another miss in the engine. I removed the valve covers and the fuel rail to paint them and when it was all back together I had a miss like a bad COP. I bought another coil at Oreilly's and changed them out one at a time. No change. So today I pulled the fuel rail again. When I was removing the air line from the intake manifold (for the air assisted injectors) the part the air lines snaps onto broke off the manifold. So I put a little JB weld on it and reattached it. I put everything back together and it ran fine without a miss.

I have installed new Thunderbolt high flow CATs and new o2 sensors. I havent noticed any difference with the new CATs except the absence of the CEL. I am going to do a custom CAT back system with an X-pipe, jones resonators, Magnaflow mufflers and new dual outlet tips.

I have finished repairing my Mille Miglia EV-R's and I plan on doing the silver metalizer Plasti-Dip on them. I have watched the vids on DipYourCar.com and I think they will look good and it wont cost a fortune to have them painted.

I drove the LSE for the first time in months today and snapped a few pics....

I just ordered my new drilled and slotted brake rotors and ceramic brake pads. Also just ordered new front and rear stabilizer bar links. Next is the tie rod ends (inner and outer) and rear adjust links. After all that the Eibach springs are going on and the suspension will be done.

Next I will be re-installing the TransGo shift kit and PlastiDipping my 19" EV-R's with the silver matalizer kit.

I have installed my new R1 Concept drilled and slotted rotors and Powerstop ceramic pads. Also installed the Deeza front stabilizer bar links and the Mevotech rear stabilizer bar links. Braking and handling have drastically improved. The front and rear stabilizer bar links were shot and one of my front rotors were warped.

I also installed the rear license plate LED lights. They look awesome. I ordered LED turn signal lights but as of right now I cant get them to work. They stay on constant. I purchased resisitors for them but the wiring diagram that came with them didnt help. I did a little searching and couldn't find a wiring diagram for the front turn signal bulbs, I only found the diagram for the rear brake lights that Alax7 had posted awhile back. I tried that but it didnt work either. My resistors may be the wrong value, they are 50w 6ohm and I read in another thread that someone used 10w 10ohm. Can anyone help me out with how to wire these? I'm going to do more searching tonight and see if I can find what I need.

I also ordered a 2.5" X-pipe, 2.5" Jones resonators, 2 four foot long pieces of 2.5" pipe, 2.25" x 2.5" reducers and Flowmaster 15369 chrome dual tips. I have 2 Magnaflow mufflers in my garage I will be using and I plan on having a local muffler shop custom bend the resonator to muffler pipe for me.

I also installed a new K&N filter (RF-1015). It fits the heatshields for the LSK intake perfectly. I have been thru several filters trying to find the best fit and I have finally found it. I will be posting these results in the 'taking orders for gen1 heatshields' thread.

Next up...finish the 19" Mille Miglia EV-R's and install the Eibach springs. I want to run a larger tire in the rear so I am not sure if I want to drop the rear at all. Anyone have a set of front Eibach springs they would like to sell? Probly not but it's worth a shot.

I also have a leaking valve cover gasket on the passenger side. It's leaking out of the large gasket that goes around the perimeter of the valve cover. I havent seen that happen before and they are not that old. I must've removed the valve covers too many times and messed it up. I have a new Fel-Pro set on order.

Here's some pics for your viewing pleasure....

FWIW, I got the Napa lifetime warranty alternator several months ago. One day it didn't charge properly at high RPMs (headlights dimmed, but fine at idle) for a few minutes at the beginning of the drive. I didn't have a monitor plugged in, so no idea what was going on. Other than that, it's been great. As noted, it's running the Gen 2 fan w/o a problem.

It's all that extra paper from the heatshields! lol

Is the 337 a play on 1337?

Great work bro. I have the same ceramic pads. Love them. I have had them on for 6 years. Nice suspension work too. Really looking forward to seeing it in June. Don't disappoint me or I will be:(.

337 is LEE upside down. I've been using it since the days of the pager...lol. I just date'd myself...

And ya, the heatshield money bought my intake tube. I haven't made a whole lot of profit but it's worth it to see my product on other peoples rides
