Official Plasti-Dip Thread

No not at all. Im going to be dipping my current stock 06 5 spokes. They started peeling and i want to give them new life withough paying the 150 to have each refinished.

I will be using the gun metal on the rims and then the silver metalizer to hopefully accomplish a bright/hypersilver finish.

Sleek if you want them, free just pick them up.

Wow! Seems like a pretty stand up guy. I saw how his Audi looked after he dipped it. I'd rather dip mine than vinyl wrap it any day!
 
It seams like that would be a better way just as long as the person knows how to handle spray paint.

i would have much rather plasti-diped my car than wrap it. i just finished wrapping last night and i started on Jan. 2nd. if i knew about the dip i would have been done in less than a day!! :(
 
So I got my plastidip from dipyourcar.com today. I ordered the wheel kit which inludes 4 cans of dip and they only sent me 3. Do you think 3 cans is enough to do my rims? I have 20" foose speedsters. Or should I wait for the 4th can?
 
M4rk had said it took him 2.5 cans and his wheels had much more surface area than yours.
 
Has anyone tried using the Plastidip clear yet?

Great job. How many coats did you give them? Does the plastidip try to stick to the index cards?
 
I think I'm going to do it to my 2000 LS I have a matte black LS now I need a matte white one!!! :D
 
Here are my two Dipped projects, I don't have an LS per se, but I am on here an awful lot. One is my focus, I did the grill and the lower grill, the other is my Explorer. I will be deleting all the chrome on the Explorer.

I have decided to do my whole car. Of course this will happen after I finish my suspension setup. I will be doing matte black with silver metallic. Maybe a small amout of glossifier to give it a more satin appearance, but I will decide that after I finish. Going to follow the DYC website and go with the Wagner painter. Once I get the Barcelonas in, those will go gunmetal with gloss. Should be a superb color arrangement. Plus if I don't like it, I can peel it off, LOL!!!!
