What did you do to your LS today?

Great! couldn't have told me that two days ago when I was down in both Clover and Lugoff SC ... looking for 1st GEN inner rear lamp assy's

Nothing from the exterior is up for grabs . . .

There is Pull-a-Part yard here in Columbia that has two in their inventory.

...Not that it matters, of course, because really he only has a year to find mine because when I renew my tags I always get a new plate because as an aggressive driver I do sometimes torque people off and I don't want to find my car trashed one day several months later because said torqued off person started checking tag numbers on every blue LS with chrome door sills he saw and eventually finds mine. I may not like my LS but it doesn't mean I want to see it destroyed and I don't want to go to prison for beating someone to death because I came out of a store and found someone trashing my car. So, I blur my tags to save lives!

I do but I ran into some trouble, one set got tinted too dark another has a chip out of a corner and opposite has some missing rubber gasket.
need fresh replacement set.

Telco, are you back to sniffing glue again?

Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't watching you. Hey look, there's one now...

Cops are already watching me... who's watching me now, the IRS?

Yup. Telco is back on the glue, time to cover his bedroom in tin foil again.

I attempted putting my clear corners in the front bumper. But they kept popping out. The metal piece that sits towards the back would just not seat correctly. WTF? What to do? What to do?

side markers DELETE, plate holes DELETE and tow hook cover being molded in as if it was never there.
other parts being worked on are the trunk lid, spoiler, rear surround color matching, McLaren grille.
Silver Frost Metallic color match done by means of sending out my gas door.

Should be all finished this upcoming week.

Gotta get my LS back together so I can get it out of the garage and get my firewood in.
Haven't even driven it this season ... so sad, not enough time. too much to do, still trucking everyday.

Some cheap hot glue from the back perhaps?

LOL......yes.......That would look real cute on a hot Florida day dripping down the bumper. I know there is some threads around here somewhere. I'll have to do some searching around. I feel like the tabs need a good dremelling to get them to fit. IIRC there is some modification to get them to sit correctly.

Hey izzy, if I remember mine wouldn't stay popped in so I used a long screw driver to hold the back side of bumper from under the hood out to stop the bumper from flexing in when trying to push the marker light in.065.jpg

Yeah. There is a tab that is supposed to fit against the metal clip to hold it in place. I'll just have to wait until I pull the head lights to switch my clear turn signals to try this method on the side marker lights.

I thought about taking the dremmel to the tab and shave off a tiny bit to see if it helped. Just didn't want to ruin it.

I figured if I went ahead and changed the side markers it would light a fire to pull the headlights to go through the process of doing the clear turns inside the head lights. The amber color drives me nuts! Guess I'll have to light my own fire. LOL.

OK, but i didnt pull the headlights. Just used a long screw driver and went down behind headlights. It was that tab that I put the screw driver tip against.

:) Cool :) I will be changing the amber lenses inside the headlights to clear lenses. I will be doing that this weekend. So while I am in the midst of that process I will attempt the corners with your method. :)

Bought a half-clear Gen 1 trunk light, right side. Apparently a number of people have rights without lefts... Gonna have to be a sneak attack on eBay if one pops up. Or a fight. And Izzy will win the first one.

Also bought a Gen 2 3rd brake. Both items were $35 shipped (each). Not bad. Also found a single Gen 2 LSE right outer for like $40

If I don't get the first one I'll be kickin ass and takin names. LOL

Came early. Gen 2 3rd brake light and right-side Euro trunk assembly. It has a 3157 bulb in place of the 168 and has an extra 3156 bulb in the clear half. Extra reverse light to make up for the Euro license surround rear fog?

Well......this happened today :dancefool

I'm kind of disenchanted with the color of the clear bumper corners. But definitely happier to have them over the Halloween themed front end.

Thanks MONTE 02 LS! Your tip worked....:shifty:....they snapped right into place and seated well. It was a breeze to do while the headlights were out.

you can tint them with oracal 8300 light film to hide the "offness"

I'm glad that I opted for purchasing the whole light assemblies that I pulled the clears out of. Even though they had broken mounting tabs. Cause I broke both bezels when opening my headlights. Had I not had the other bezels, I would have been fvcked.......image.jpg

I think because mine leaked, the bezels were brittle from the moisture and drying out over and over again. Was definitely worth the $100 I paid for them. Hopefully I got a good seal on them now. It's raining now. So I guess we will see. I may just run it through the $5 wash to test them out.

I did keep the amber lenses in case anyone would be interested in them. Both of them have fractures at the bottom middle though. I would think a lil tint on them would make it not noticeable. There, of course, are also the bumper side markers.

They have a lil overspray on the edges.

NICE FIND!!!! very jealous

The eBay seller relists the item one at a time. Search "Lincoln LS right 15500" and it should be the first result. $35 shipped. Same for the high brake. Both were found under the "lightning and lamps > other" section. The Euro light even came in a Motorcraft box.

Honestly though, having one light is probably worse than having none... the search turned from "one day I'll find a set" to "needitneeditneedit where is it where is it where is it where is it search search search"
