What did you do to your LS today?

behind the "A" pillar* and tucked under the front edge of the headliner all the way to the center.

* if you have side curtain airbags, please make sure the the wire crosses under the air bag and not over.

Ok,,then tucking it behind pass side dash etc completes the routing ?
tnx.

Let me know how you like that dash cam. Or iis this an identical replacement for your old one? I've been shopping iinfrequentpy for them and I obviously want it to be discrete. And I have a small personal vendetta against suction cups on the windshield lol

Here are some pics of the dash cam from my perspective. I couldn't get a good shot of it from outside the vehicle. I'll have to try in full sun. I always find myself parking under trees or in garages wherever I go. Black cars and the sun don't mix well. I'm sure you can identify. :)

I would like to know about power wire location and where it was put to hide ?

Also if this cam will do LPR ?

Here are some pictures on where I hid the power wire. These photos are not my car, they are from a google search. I just drew on them. LOL

The power wire comes up from the cam and tucks behind the edge of the headliner and then across the top of the A pillar cover the under the weather stripping that runs down the edge of the door frame and then behind the little space between the door frame and the dash. You can pop off the cover on the edge of the dash. I mounted the ground wire to the first accessible bolt behind that cover.

The fuse box is on the inner side of the floorboard on the righthand side towards the front of the car. There is a little door that you have to pop open and then pull the cover off the fuse box. That's where the fuse splitter will go.

Stared at her and couldn't take my eyes away. Not sure if it's due to the sexy car or the pile of parts I have sitting here waiting to be put in.

Thanks for that effort.

That looks like the Howard Franklund!

Got a tint ticket today.

sh!tty-
I honestly dont know how you have gone this long! lol if my car looked half as dark as your, I would get pulled over faster that if I was in a powdered doughnut while DWB...
is it a big deal there or can you just pay the ticket and be done with it? at least here, if the cop is nice they'll just write a fix it tic, and taking the tint off showing them, and then having it retinted later that day is almost always a few bucks cheaper than actually paying the ticket.

of all the things to ever get a ticket for... drives me crazy!

^ and it's not about you being able to see out clearly but more so them being able to see clearly inside.

removed front lower "lip" or chin that the wife cracked in half during some snow this past winter, then dragged home. Used some 5 minute along the seam to get set in place, then beefed it up on the backside with some high strength 24 hr room temp cure stuff. Front plastic pieces taped up for now.

Drove to work and had the first light traffic day in a long time. Got 29.8 MPG over 35 miles trip over 3 highways. Its typically a struggle to get 24-26. Cracked the 235,000 mile mark along the way.

Windshield ticket. I am temporarily living back in the city where I got my first windshield tint ticket, and just after 2 months of being back, got pulled over for it again.

That makes it twice in almost 5 years of having it.

Sunglasses dude.

Got mine out of the garage into the driveway (imagine that), getting it cleaned up this evening for a 10hr cannonball run starting in the early morning hours.

Me and the wife going to go see a man about a car.

they may say that, but not really... with dark (and legal) tint on the rear windows, there could me many occupants holding loaded guns and nobody would be able to see them... but that's OK

you could drive around in a windowless HHR or van with with the same thing in the back just waiting to shoot the first person that walks up to the drivers window and nobody can see what dangers are back there, but again, that's OK...

I'll let them know you are very concerned about panel vans. Perhaps we can get a ban on panel vans.

Also, and I know this goes without saying, but just for clarification, you obviously mean your elected officials who make the laws when you say they right? Of course, silly for me to ask.

Yes. Which is why Andrizzle is getting tickets for his windshield.

This my plan for if I get pulled over (extremely rare).

Stop, both hands out the window. If it's not raining, all windows down. If it's dark, interior lights go on and windows down. No excess movement like going to the glove box. Do these things and you can actually observe the good officer relax and he will greet you kindly. The lady officers might remain tense a while longer but, that's understandable. I always consider the officer's previous encounter may have been a real Richard Head so I allow them much leeway in that regard. Believe me there are few things as satisfying as ending an encounter with a Peace Officer knowing that you may have been his best customer. I know. My mother is a retired Peace Officer and my lady partner is an ex Peace Officer also and I have to deal with her every day.

My neighbor was a state trooper growing up... He taught me when I first started driving to do the following: First everything that Robot said, with a slight change to hands

-roll down driver window all the way.
-place RIGHT hand (out/on) bottom of window opening / door sil
-place LEFT eblow on top of RIGHT hand
-grab top of door with LEFT hand

-Now you can not grab anything without moving both arms... nor can you reach for anything (without obvious movement)

TRY IT, its tough

Ive been pulled over a dozen times (maybe two) and have been complemented several times doing this... (asking what officer taught me that).

Maybe its why I still have a perfect driving record (that an a lot of $$$ spent i guess).

Went for a long drive today, came home with another LS. Wife bought an 03 black on black LS from a fellow LVC'er. Got a decent deal on it, very well maintained and in overall great shape.

Replaced the alternator in my 06. By a wide margin, it was the most difficult alternator to replace that I've dealt with so far. It was making a disturbing noise when I left work Thursday. I traced it down to the alternator, and when I checked it was barely holding 12 volts (very unsteady at that) at idle. I never did get a warning light on it.
