Congrats KBR...remember if the police officer asks you to step out of the car...kindly look him in the eye then ask him "Am I under arrest officer?"

Don't say that. Look him/her straight in the eye and say...

then speed off. :D

Playing with keys,locks & etc.

Well finally got a key fob remote & figured how the keyless entry works. I bought the car with no code stickers, one key & no remote. Hearing good things about McCausland Lock servicehttp://www.locksnkeys.com/index.html in Prospect Park, Pa. I gave them the task. Well, they managed to scan the computer and get the factory code for me. Asking for a second key turned adventurous for us both. First Mark VIII they had come through & I learning the world of code keys. Damn, times have changed. $60 for a key? Then I saw what dealers charge. A New Jaguar key costs $400!!!! I guess the days of the guy at the hardware store are dead.... Then we ran into the two key program issue. Not having a bunch in stock & not wanting screw up the one good key, the spare is on order. At least now I can start the car without waking the neighbors with the alarm at 6 AM.

Meanwhile I secured some loose trim on the passenger door that "somebody" had fiddle with trying to possibly break in. In noticed the rear chrome trim sticking up a bit. I glued it down & keep a eye on the parking spot at night. God I hate crooks & scumbags who make insurance so high. The more I put into the car, the closer I may have to really think about FULL Coverage on my '97. I'm paying $720 for 6 months Liability now. I could cut that some if I got the home owners from the same firm.

Lastly we got some cleaning stuff & shampooed the carpets at the car wash.

That same insurance would cost you $180 or less every 6 months here in AL. That's with State Farm but they're all about the same price. If it was $720, I'd be without.

Funny you should Mention State Farm, That is my Company. Trust me that price was the cheapest of all the quotes. Some were as high as $1200 for just Liability!!! Philadelphia is a lawsuit happy town with lots of uninsured drivers & thieves.

Sounds like I found yet another reason to move out of this town... I'm paying double the price on about the same car (Evergreen 1997 LSC with 93,000 mi) and not even full coverage on a car that only cost me $3900 to buy in March.

Forgot I updated the medical two weeks ago. Yep & $780.......

Scored at junkyard today, walked past a thunderbird and seen some blue shocks peaking out. Yep, like new set of tokico blues with Eibach lowering springs.

Found another Thunderbird with a set of dual piston Mustang GT PBR front calibers with slotted and cross drilled rotors.

Pulled them, then found a mark that had been dismantled but nobody opened the airbox, k&n air filter, I'll take it.

Then found 3 continentals with working door handles, grabbed them all, and stumbled on a gray interior continental that had a matching gray and chrome fuel door switch.

Grand total with everything.... $145.00 Awesome day at the JY!!

i removed the red stripes off my wheels, gonna rock it that way for a bit and see what i like better, i think i like it better off!

Well this sucks...I embarrased the CRAP out of myself and the Mark. Traveling about 73 on the interstate and was going to pass an accord and the guy kept speeding up to about 75+ and he jumped at me so I maintained my speed. He slowed down next to me and I nail it. Pull out and his front bumper is at the back of my door. He slowly starts up to mid door so I hit the brakes and fall back to around 60. He is around 4 car links ahead so I nail it and fly by and he is on it as well when I reach maybe 2 car links. I flew by and got off around 110. His car LOOKED 100% stock. No wheels or coffee can pipe. :-/

sorry guys.... just a crazy lucky day, jumped on CL and found these for $200 with 2 new tires.

Black 18's Chrome lip in 5x108, not one scratch, bend, or curb rash... guess they'll match the calipers :)

Are those for the white car? They would look good but I am partial to the Speedstars on it.

More so since those are the prototype ones and none of the production ones have the same level of chrome on them. May not mean much to others but I liked having something just a little more special.

Hell no those aren't for the white car, the speedstars are staying. Just found this full set for $200 in our bolt pattern and spotless so I had to grab them. They'll sit in the garage until somebody starts looking for a cheap pair of wheels or I buy another Mark.
