What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

I drew on mine.

Had mine towed home :(. Was coming back from work today and on the busiest and narrowest highway in Toronto when I noticed my temp gauge way too high. Got it pulled over on the only section of shoulder for the next five miles. While I was waiting for the tow truck I diagnosed the problem, cooling fan seized up. At least now I know where those annoying strange intermittant noises were coming from :D!! Car is safe and I did not over heat but came close.

I drove mine around! :D

I missed its clunking suspension and the tires chirping when it hits 2nd gear soo much! Lol

Got pi$$ed off at mine today because that stupid gear shifter sensor went screwy again and now the CEL is on:mad: What makes me mad is that it will go out for a second and I'll get the gear position error message on the screen and the PRNDL lights will go out on the dash and the CEL will come on. But if I cut the car off and restart it, everything works just fine. But the CEL will stay on for a week:( Some day, maybe I'll fix the dam thing.

Put my CobraStars on finally and cleaned the engine bay some...searching for the coolant/oil leak..hopefully new plugs go in tomorrow

This was actually a couple days ago, on Monday, but anyway...

I picked up my 98 from the body shop...

Some nice person where I work was kind enough to get me a free repaint on the entire passenger side of the car (keyed the ENTIRE length of the passenger side). While it was there, I had them also repaint the drivers quarter. I had a couple small dents from the handlebar of my bike falling against it in the garage, and the paint was cracked pretty badly on the inside of the fender lip from rolling them.

They painted the driver's quarter and a grille that I had for a total of $300. I need to bring it back in a couple weeks after the paint has fully cured, so they can wet sand it and get rid of some orange peal. Otherwise, it looks awesome.

On the way home, though, I noticed that the steering all of a sudden felt very hard, and then I noticed the battery light on and the engine temp getting hotter. I pulled over and checked and found that the serpentine belt had completely shredded itself and was all over inside the engine compartment.

The owner of the body shop actually came and picked me up and took me to O'Reilly's to get a new belt and then let me use some tools he brought along to change it out right there on the side of the road. I was super grateful. Nice guy.

Very cool! I remember when my alternator went out and shredded the belt... in the middle of winter lol

got into work to swap in the new plugs, when i removed the COP covers i see that all the wells are full of oil and 2 of the coils are broken in half :(

Got my 97 out of storage for the weekend (it's my winter car).

Changed the oil and replaced the oil pressure sensor. Put on the Octastars that I purchased from Dmaup. Washed and waxed it, and took it for a "spirited" ride. Stopped for a photo shoot at New Salem State Park.

the boots are ruined...I guess the coil could still work...if it had a good boot

Today I avoided this...the one time I don't park where I normally do

drove from jeff city up to the kansas city airport the other day. racked up just short of 400 miles and got 26.4 mpg. i was happy to see that, especially with my 4.10s.

Finally changed my rear shocks to some sensa tracs to replace the cheap, dangerously worn Monroe gas-matics which were on for 8k miles.

It's got great recovery just from a bounce test. We'll see how they'll do on a lowered Mark in the long run. But the lifetime warrenty will come in handy at some point i'm sure.

Yeah, In a couple months... Monroes don't like being constantly compressed
