That's odd that something was holding you back. I know one thing, I honestly don't care to do 140 again. My 42 year old heart can't take it lol. It still wanted more but being the 4th and already having a ticket from this past October, I don't need anymore, especially doing 140 in a 70. That's jail time! It's not the speed that scares me but when it's dark and I'm having to scan with my eyes for headlights coming (possible state trooper) and also worrying about running up behind one, it's not something I'll be doing again soon. 80 or 90 is enough for me. What I done was stupid now that I think about it but then again, now I know and the only life put at risk was my own. 565 has all new smooth fresh pavement. Good long stretches and there was no wind holding me back either.

factory amp died. my backup is being all sketchy. so i bought a 4 channel amp and im just rewiring it all soon.

God I can't wait to get my stereo stuff out of the TBird and into the MK. I just haven't gotten around it.

Took my car to the dollar car wash and not until I hosed the engine with degreaser did I realise the vac line on the front of the fuel rail was off......now it runs a little funny

I was finally able to work on my '93 again. Got the a/c condensor in, radiator in, air ride computer/bracket back in place. Washer resivoir in place. Hood release hooked up, passenger fender on and adjusted in place. Painted my header panel trim black. Tomorrow I am going to try and replace my coolant crossover tube and replace my thermostat since its been sitting forever. I need a coil pack and 2 spark plug wires in order to start it first. Might get more done, like grille/headlights and front bumper... it might look like a car tomorrow!!!

had it detailed on thursday, recharged the ac and swapped out the UCAs yesterday and now she will sit in the garage where she will stay nice and clean till i take it to boscobel!!!

put in all new brake lines for the rear of the second MK. replaced u joints on drive shaft. replaced fuel pump. put in a new water pump and new thermostat. and bough a 5 gallon gas can. Getting ready to start her up for the first time. (there is no exhaust on it now :D )

ordered emblems for the second mk so i can black them out.

and ordered front hubs for the first mk.

also i got a speeding ticket july 2nd that i payed 80 in a 50.. whoops

well this wasnt today, but i temporarily fixed my radio so i dont have to ride in silence to boscobel

My Second Gen pulled another just crank over and no start. So reached under and pulled the crank sensor off and plugged it back in again. Bingo started right up.

Watched a huge 25ft branch/tree come within feet of landing on top of my car. Luckily there was a much smaller 9ft, thinner and weaker branch just below it to amazingly catch/support it before it struck. Moved my car and removed said obstructions. We've had no power since 8am. The storms that came through my area had hurricane force winds with it. Hundreds of trees down, you name it. The 2nd Biggest outage ever.....750,000++

If it did I would've ran to the garage to find the biggest, longest metal object i could get and climb on top of the house.

She even dodged a smaller(12ft), but just as damaging branch too. It decided to fall about 2ft from my drivers door.

Needless to say that tree will soon be coming down...And mother nature will have no say in the matter.

I got caught in a hail storm an hour away from home last week. I hid under a gas bar d
For 2+ hours. Surprisingly I didn't get asked to leave :$

attempted to get my a/c working, clutch won't engage though. also swapped out the passenger door handle with a working one. gonna clean up the headlight housings a little then give it a bath later this week and hit the road for the beach party thursday early evening!

that shyt was crazy this morning woke my ass up, and that aint no easy task

Changed my IAC and TPS

Wow what a job in a 96 took most of the day. Had those loved 1/4" throws with a 8mm wrench. Long way down had to take throttle body off, had to replace a vac line. Did not remove the hood like No limit instructed.

Suggested lol. It makes life much easier to have a birds eye view and adds a lot more light to see. I have done them with the hood on and without. I'll never do another one with the hood on. 2 hood struts, 4 bolts and disconnect the plug for the light and with another set of hands, it's off within 5 min.

We all have our own ways of doing things and yes, I also done my first one with the hood on. Just like all the wrench throws. I done that too my first time and then found out I could use a flexible extension and come in from behind the air conditioner dryer with a ratchet style T-handle after getting the bolts loose. Knocks the work time down considerably, not to mention less back pain when you finally get to stand up straight. Just another reason to remove the hood. ;)

No kidding. Comed just started working in town today so maybe we'll get power tonight. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
