What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Rats.. got the oil changed and out of the way.

I was going to remove the front driver air spring. Had the wheel off and everything until it started to pour. Now the car is sitting out there, front end on jackstands, getting wet.

:(

BTW, anything I need to know before attempting to remove the spring? Do I have to bleed the air? It was at full height (switch is off now of course).

yep. empty the air spring.
you can unhook the air line and put 12 volts to the solenoid to vent it.
or just pop it out. but that doesn't play nice with o rings.

Washed, shot pictures and listed it for sale!

lol awesome. You gotta get her into the custom of things before she gets older so that way she'll be able to roast her own tires one day.

Couldn't slide that bottom bolt out of the fork. Got the nut off though. My dinky little hammer just couldn't do much to her....

she already does shes 3 now and has a little power wheels 4 wheeler and will hold it still while the tire spins leaving little black marks on the carpet fromt the rubber strip in the middle of the tire.

Figured out that the solenoid itself has a crack in it and that's where my leak is on the front d/s of the '96. So I've ordered a new solenoid and hopefully that'll fix the problem and I can put it back up for sale again.

I got the passenger side of my suspension back together over the weekend. Almost road worthy again!

Uploaded some CD's to the Headunit, now I'm sitting here trying to decide on new rear shocks...:D

Yea, me too. Guess there's a group of us here....

As a certified Olde Fart(TM) of 51, it's cool to see guys your age who appreciate this class of car.
As opposed to a riced out Neon with a wing on the back. If I had one of those I'd crash it and post the vid on gootube.

I'd have to say I 110% agree!

The mark was my dream car was 11 and I told my self it would be my first car. And it was have had 7+ other vehicles but always kept the mark.

I let mine sit at home and rest today. I drove the Exploder to work. First time I've driven it in about two months. My stepson finally got his plate for the old green '94 Ex, so I got mine back!! Oh happy day!! I love my Exploder (not as much as the Mark, though:D)!!

when i was looking at cars i wanted something that no one knew what it was. and when my uncle pasted i was over cleaning out his house with my cousins and we took a couple of boxes out to the "barn" (it was a garage that he had built) and pulled a car cover off my baby. odometer read 58,983 miles. put a battery in her and she started right up.... then found out the brake lines where rusted thew. so dragged her home... ever sense then i have bough 2 other mks.

another 95 (tan on saddle) and a 95 (chameleon on ivory *parts car*)

yep, now im obsessed. nothing i have found drives like a mark :D
