What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Doesn't have to be an OR:

You sir are correct, once I get more funds, which I'm counting to be about 3-4 years from now (gotta pay off Matco first, and get my own shop, or a better job) I plan on running 2 more pipes to the rear, and hanging the snails where the mufflers go

More Mods

This week-
repaired A/C blowing hot
repaired nonfunctional cruise control
installed powder coated intake
installed underdrive pulleys
Next week repair ABS
build 3.73 trakloc pumpkin(have all parts)
install rear pumpkin and 4" aluminum drive shaft and rear bags.

Looks like I'm gonna need some new (or good used) rear air springs:( Got ready to go to work this morning and the LSC's a$$ was on the ground. It pumped back up fine and has not dropped an inch all day sitting in the parking lot at work. But just the fact that it dropped last night means they're probably going bad. Dangit.

Anybody got a good set of used rear springs for cheap?:)

Thaywood, if you're in "cheap" mode, just get springs. They never leak..and if you get a GOOD set, the ride is actually better than air..I've never bottomed mine out, and Ive hit some real nasty bumps on Bills country roads

Nah. I like my air ride. Besides, the p/s front is only 5 months old and the d/s front is literally brand new. As long as I park it on a relatively level surface, it will stay up. I'll find some good springs eventually.:) And on my budget (or lack thereof) I'm always in "cheap mode":D

Doesn't have to be an OR:
Didn't think about the compound boost set up.That would be a sweet set up.

But since the only blower options for the Coyote are the twin screw or the TVS blowers.I would think that would be just a little over kill.Unless someone plans on making 1500+ horsepower with a little more ease.

Now you seem to be getting the picture..
Ever heard of the "Texas Mile" ?

SHHHHH!!! Top secret and we have many issues to overcome.

removed the the last of the airbag stuff and replace the fuel filter, my engine light has been on and I'm having a hard time figuring it out. I took it autozone and had the codes read p0113 intake air temp, p0303 cylinder misfire #3,and p0102 mass/volume sensor.
my question is what should I replace next? I'm thinking plugs and coils, or should I try the maf first? thanks in advance for any good advice.

Get some maf cleaner and try cleaning it. I think crc makes some. Replace the coil, buy a used set to fix the misfire and you'll have some spares if another m/f pop's up. I wouldn't buyt 8 new coils.$$.Mine as well throw some plugs in when you replace the coil on 3.....No idea about the 113.

I have the crc I will try that, I'll check the junkyards for a used set of coils. Does anyone have a diagram to show which cylinder is which? Thanks for the help guys.

Needed to change the front/driver brake pads. Never heard the squeak indicator telling me it's time to change the pads. Went straight from quiet to scraping in a matter of days! Put small grooves into the rotor.

Working on getting a rear bumper cover from a local guy that tears apart Mark VIII's and sells the parts on eBay. Want to get this fixed and painted soon because of my small rear-ender a couple weeks ago.

went through the do it yourself :q:q:q:q hole cash wash today and must have sprayed reclaimed porto-potty water on my car it totally stained the hell out of my paint and etched little white rings everywhere. not very happy at all. so tonight i busted out the brand new lambs wool pad and meguiars m-105 and have to cut the entire car heavy. i have half done, tomorrow ii have to finish then switch to my mequiars electric d.a polisher and hit the entire car again with m-205. i really think this is the last black car i will own, hell my next vehicle is gonna have bad paint right off the bat so i wont care about it. i did however finally cut off my rear gasket on the back window and install the new window trim that i have had in my toolbox for over a year. came out awesome looks so much better. this will be my last time buffing this car, next time it needs it, its getting repainted.

Looking at engine from front of car:
Passenger side from front to back is 1234
Driver's side from front to back is 5678

Firing order is 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8. Doesn't rally matter with a COP
engine, but I told you anyway. :D

just shy of 12 hours between last night and today and my 97 is all cut and buffed and looks sick again. although its not gonna last its such a nitemare trying to keep single stage black looking like i just got it looking again, oh well it looks sick for now i cant believe how black it is when its buffed likr this. hopefully i get some kick ass pics from the track this wednesday before it looks like ass again lol.

Well, the car hasn't dropped again since my last post:confused: Must've been a freak thing. I haven't parked it in the same place since it dropped. Maybe it was just parked at an odd angle or something that put too much load on one spring??? I'm just grasping here:rolleyes: Either way, it's sitting pretty now and I'm not going to worry (knock on wood). :)

Thanks , this is a big help.
I really appreciate your help.
