What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Looks like the Gen1 nose swap you wanted to do just got moved up. Unless the salvage yard will trade the 93 for the parts to fix the 98 back to another 98 nose.

I didn't do it! Wife did...

ECU has been acting up, she was driving to work and it died, she tried pulling into a parking lot and...failed

Don't know what im gonna do.. I live paycheck to paycheck (barely), car has Liability only

What did she hit? That sucks big time!

She hit some poles that are surrounding some dead bushes..glad those didn't get run over! All those dead sticks would have scratched my paint!

The JY just smashed all the Gen2s they had, I think they hate me...however they do have 2 96s LoL

I dont have a 97 front clip..I have a 93...guess I have to shim the hood to clear the plenum

Got an ugly picture message with a Mark in it. :(

i assume its this down below..

ouch.. this is not good at all.. :(

The squeak is back:( Turns out it's the front strut rod bushing on the driver side. Had my son turn the wheel while I looked and listened to the front end. I could see the d/s strut rod moving back and forth in the front bushing and every time it moved, it squeaked. Looks like my next project will be strut rod bushings and an alignment. I'm still kicking myself for not replacing the dam things when I redid the front suspension.

Very quick transformation..I'm impressed.

Sucks that your front end looks like a g1 though.

I've got some tweaking to make the hood fit properly.. Need to swap in the 93s wiper cowl and then cut some hood frame where it hits the EGR valve. I've gotten both good and bad comments on it... I'm undecided as to wether I'll leave it that way and black it all out.. Fix it back factory, or go ahead and save for the cobra front bumper and cobra gen2 hood and some new lights and a left fender

Looks good dude! Speaking of Cobra front bumpers.... aren't they due out sometime soon??!! The Mark getting painted this winter and I'd like to have cool new bumper to go with it.

I know Blue_t made a custom one for his, I'm sure with enough persuasion another could be made...that's ultimately what I want my car to look
Like

So just know, that if my car ever gets picked up by any car show rebuilder types.. I want this

Shave the side moldings and door handles, same shaved roof to include rear window, and Aston DB9 door hinges-get creative- but leave it all black, enterior all black suede

When engine stuff gets cheaper I'm planning a Coyote with blower and twin snails

We're all aloud to have dreams--that's mine

I believe he means cobra gen2 hood, whatever that is. Sounds interesting.
I had gotten cornfused.

He wants the 03/04 Temple Cobra bumper if he brings it back to Gen 2 nose or a Cobra R style hood if he stays gen one.

My bad.

No more safety meetings for you, either you can't read good now, or youve gone absolutely retarded

The only reason I would want the Cobra bumper is because it just seems easier to
Obtain, that and it keeps the vehicle liking more Ford like and less like a pretend trans am. However, I do think the Grand Am bumper LOOKS better. I just personally hate just about everything about a GM..I don't care what model you want to bring to the table, nor how fast it is against any other car...but that bumper does look very nice. If I only liked one thing by GM, the bottom parts of a grand am bumper is it

Awww they're fixing your beaten driveway, that's horrible, you should move your car to the garage

Not possible to move back as the garage has my STi and SL blocked in by an Airstream trailer and Acapulco Thing on a trailer waiting to go back into storage.

Nice quick fix.No matter if you plan on keeping the gen1 nose at least you can drive it for the time being.

I think a lot of us here dream of Coyote power.Add me to that list also.

Blower or Turbos? Is that what you meant?

Today I washed the car for the first time myself at a self wash.Cost me $9 and not going to do that again.

I was smacking the hell of the car with the hose trying to get around the car in time.Damn timers.
