What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Drove the Mark the last couple days, then last night I "accidently" ran over a Prius in my Jeep.... waiting on my Insurance adjuster to call me back... sux :(

Lol, actually it was parked in front a chinese restaurant that I had just ate at... the owner happend to be my waitress...

When I went back in and told her, she kept asking me if I wanted something else to eat and thank you have a nice day... took about 5 tries to get her outside so I could show her what I did.... Once she seen my jeep parked on the back of her car..lol, she flipped and went high octive chinese, no broken english from then on out.... Gave her my info and apoligized, my insurance agent still hasn't heard from her...told him to prepare for an interesting phone call. :shifty:

 yikes. dead prius = good prius.
poor jeep. but that's definitely gonna be easier to fix than your mark or bird.

Plan on taking off the drivers side door panel after work. The window seems to be making some clinking noises at certain(most) hieghts/positions. Also moves a bit. Somethings gotta be loose.

replaced a driver side exhaust manifold, only had one stud break lucally, took it to my buddys shop and a lil fire got her right out, tps, bypass hose, ran new ft brake lines.......oh wait wrong veh, still not bad for a buck. :D 94 5.0 2wd with 97k

The one that fits 2 and could go between the pass seat and center console? If so i've been thinking about picking one up cause I dont like to use the flip up. Is it snug?

Yep. Fits really snug and sits level with the console. The finish matches the black dash color. Even has a cell phone compartment in the middle. Greatest buy ever.

That's good news. Did they have the tan one's at wally world too?

I just can't believe you only killed ONE Prius... Go out tonight and do BETTER

Tow-truck bumpers are really handy for that kind of stuff.

I think if you're an old man (or woman) and you're about to loose your driving privileges due to "handicap", it should be your duty to wreck as many Prius' in a parking lot as you can on your final day driving

Hear, hear! When I'm ready to hang up my keys for good, I'll be SURE to make an awe-inspiring effort to clear our roads of smugness and acute twerpism.

Put another good ding in the exhaust coming out of a driveway tonight. Gosh, I don't want to upgrade the whole system if it's just gonna get beat up!!

pulled the front bumper off my 97 and got into the trans cooler lines to figure out the leak i had. turns out the brass manifold block i used for the lines and trans temp sensor had a crack in it all the way through to the threaded female end of the block. so i took it out and deleted the trans temp sensor for now and put the lines straight together with a double barbed insert. oh well trans temp gauge still lights up but doesnt read the temp right now! also filled my box with poly-fil now the jl's slam! buffed my headlights since i had them out too.

Got my stall back from the builder, and as of tonight I have the transmission back in the car. Tomorow I will get a filter and fluid and hopfully get her going by this week. Found some crap in the pan so I'm going to flush and change the filter twice. I'm taking my time but wil get it done soon, the right way!

dam shocks

hours of searching posts for the part# for replacement shocks for stock system , looking like Bilstein from a 03-04 stang cobra ,

lighting control module

Hello everyone, I just have to brag because I have been posting about all kinds of stuff screwed up with a chassis control module. After three dealerships told me it's a lost cause and I should buy a new car I have an answer to this incredibly hard to fix problem! If this should happen to any of you and I certainty hope it does not. If it does I have the cure that 3 dealerships and an electronic specialist don't have! Get this I was offered a price of 2000.00 to fix! It's done running and rains supreme as the killer 98 Mark 8 LSC as it is!!1 The only problem now is it has now mufflers so it sounds like a Nascar racer! But real balls!!!! Take care and god bless, Gene

AL has EYES again!

Finally got up the nerve to tear out the factory HID lowbeams, and installed the set I'd bought from VME. Used the adapters I'd bought from DLF, did a new/old cable splice to use the factory connectors. I mounted the new ballasts to the sheet metal top radiator support, they look nice and are in the airflow. Hooked everything up, put it all back together, reconnected the battery, and cringed as I turned on the ignition (half expecting the car to immediately burst into flames or something). Turned the lights on, got out to check them out.
Big smile, and I could almost hear a chorus of automotive angels singing Halleluja.

Factory hid bulbs in 95/96lsc's and all 97-98 are no longer made. For those owners you can buy a adapter plate from a member here(55~) and buy any 9006 hid kit($45+) the owner prefers. With the a/m kit the hid bulbs cost less then 1/4 the cost of Oem hids, which sell for about 100 ea used.

Then some simple splicing into the factory hid wireing and you're done.
