You spend all that time painting calipers...and you use AutoZone brake pads?? How weird

my front and rear bumpers were so oxidized and sun faded, gave em a light sand and shaker canned them, man what a difference. not showroom, by any means but it will hold me over until i can paint the whole thing. and figured out my mirror blinkers do work, only when its dark, and theyre not too bright to see from inside, i guess not to distract driver like you said.

Put in some fresh oil and a fl-820s. Should last me through the winter.

Next week i'll do the winter wheels and front end lube.

LOL... I know but atleast they are ceramic though, they stop really well and very little brake dust, but I'm open to some suggestions for my other mark, let me know.

I know a guy locally that is parting a gen 2 with a sun roof I'm getting parts from him tomorrow I'll see what he wants for it pm me your number and I'll call you when I find out.

oh, also.
purchased a chip from Lonnie at Blue Oval Chips. installed it today.
runs great. no CEL. chirps third with my 4.10s and is better to drive all around.
i recommend BOC to anyone wanting a chip.

painted or powder coated?
Painted but not with regular brake caliper paint. I used the Duplicolor Metalcast paint in a spray can, it also handles high temperature like the regular caliper paint and it is available at most auto part stores for about $8.49 a can. I gave it 2 primer coats and 3 paint coats. The pictures don't do the color justice because when the light hits it really shines and if I had used the Duplicolor Adhesion Promoter clear primer instead of the grey looking high temp primer, it would have come out lighter and more metallic but I will know next time.

how dose the paint hold up? i have used a couple of duplicolor paints and IMO they suck.

Paint holds up well, I've ony had it for a couple of months but a friend of mine that recommended this paint to me after he used the same kind and color on his calipers for about two years has his paint still holding up without chipping or flaking off. Make sure you clean the calipers really well and apply high temp primer, two coats at the least but three is even better and of course three coats of paint and remember if you decide to do it then "Metalcast Anodized" is the kind of duplicor paint that I used. As far as the regular dulicolor caliper paint, I agree with you, they do suck! Remember "Metalcast" paint, the cover cap of the spray can will aslo be shiney metallic looking. Hope this helps.

Been raining for 3 days a light sprinkle today went outside and wetsanded the paint I did the other day. I actually did the reqr quarter posts between the rear windows they were white discolored faded too. I can't believe the difference. Just not looking like crap makes me happy.

When are you going to bring it to Tower Shops?
