What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

I bought a Grateful Dead Steal Your Face license plate for the front bumper. But I have to put on a "new" bumper first. Thanks to Jay Richmond for helping me rebuild my front air suspension system. She's sitting pretty every morning ...no slamming! Alignment tomorrow and will have a look at the universal joint. Oh..and at my rate I may get to putting in a new sound system about this time next year!:)

Finally fixed my AC issues.

Replaced the blower controller module. Thanks Richard!!!!!!!!!!

you must live where it is very flat. Nothing flat here in N.Y. slightest incline and that's it.
:Bang:Bang:Bang

Between Syracuse and Canada is pretty darn flat. You must be nearer to West Point?

Replacing my coolant hoses soon and was wondering if I should go ahead and spend an extra 20 bucks to get a thermostat and o-ring. Sounds silly but i've heard storied where the housings cracked and I don't want to deal with finding a new one for a dd.

If it aint broke don't fix it??

Change the thermostat... but use a 1/4 drive ratchet with extension.. they crack very easy if you over torque them

Also, the part that can crack, is that this.....

or the other half (Inlet)? This side seems to be readily available.

Well, OEM temp for a Mark VIII T-Stat is 190*, so I definitely wouldn't go higher than that (mine is a 188* and I think it was dealer installed and OEM).

Thanks.

FWIW, I'll think you find most run a 180* without a tune and a 160* T-Stat with a tune.

nothing, my job got in the way again...ordered an oil filter adapter gasket from Rock

advance auto carries them in stock.

Fel-Pro 70415 (got it memorized / changed a few at the shop lol)

Just lovin' my Mark:) She's running great, driving great., sounding great, and lookin great!

I think the same thing everyday "thay". Well, the sounding part is coming soon but I stare it down daily out in the garage during one of my 5 to 6 cigs I smoke each day. I don't smoke inside the house. I think today I'm going to put on my new side shiners for the headlight housings, "again". When I walk out into the garage, this is what I see and while I set there, I get ideas. :shifty:
