What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

continued witht my 'oil filter adapter gasket replace' debacle.....I got the rest of the parts last night...then tonight after work, I bolted up the adapter...it tried to kick my ass, took way to long, but it's bolted up...now to figure out what I'm gonna use to glue the black plastic nipple/stem back on the top of the rad that connects witthe resevoir tank...any sugestions on adhesive?

did mine in oven got info from keatons dad on lowest setting 150 5 min obviously take out all bulbs and wires it will just peel apart. keep the light away from heat elements and no it wont melt. i peeled them 1/2 way then did it again for another 5 min and came apart with no effort. did the same with the other had both apart in under 1/2 hour. again use lowest setting.

lol

I couldn't imagine sticking my headlights in the oven, then the next day making a home-made pizza. I'd have that 'old Mark VIII headlights' aftertaste.

That's only because you couldn't imagine making a homemade pizza: P

Sapper, that pizza looks nasty as hell. I guess it's just because I'm simple with peperoni and sausage only. Olives make me gag just looking at them.

Anyway, walked passed the Mark earlier in the garage and came back by it, went to the drivers door and used the keypad to unlock it because my keys were at the other end of the house, in my bedroom. Opened up the trunk and got out my new pack of microfiber rags. They're those good thick ones too. :D Had to keep the thread Mark replated and not pizza related.:p

Pizza is almost pure poison. A brutal cheap carbohydrate load and cheese and preserved meat. The only thing worth eating is those veggies.

yesterday I added comp and collision insurance; today I got the tires rotated (all rims are FORWARD now!):D
today I hopefully mended the plastic radi nipple successfully, and I tried (unsuccessfully) to cook the lens off of a headlight housing...started at 170 then got up to 200 degrees...no deal.. and said 'f*&k it'...dremel

My radar detector has been on the fritz for the last year so I decided to open it one last time to see if I could find the problem. Ends up the solder connection on the board for the speaker was just barely holding on thus explaining why it (Speaker) only worked 1/4 of the time, I'm surprised I even noticed it. Soldered it back up and its as good as new. :zgreenbou

Perfect timing though as I was going to buy another one 2maro. :)

I recently removed my uninsured motorist coverage as my payments were getting too high. I feel naked without it, especially after getting smacked in the rear by a mini cooper late last year (I only needed the bumper cover re-painted).

Have you thought about using a heat gun for the lights?

for sure. next time i have an excuse to drop the pumpkin it will get painted that same red color.

i separated one lens with a dremel...it's a little 'messy'....but should be fine....I don't have a heat gun, i'd try that if I did...i'm guessing that black seam just gets gooey and pulls apart?
---- the day's only half over, but I can go ahead and say: today I did nothing to my M8....the gf wins, plus there's good football on...and this plastic radiator p.o.s has left me with a severely chapped and red arse ...back to the fix or repair daily next year
