Not a damn thing. I did get bicycle tires for the front of the silver bullet today though. They are no wider than my shoe.
dns , you'll need to shave the edge of the Mark8 brake lines fitting where it touches the caliper. Just hold the hose on the caliper as if trying to bolt it on and you'll see that the hole needs to be moved .. so shave the edge of the block a bit
I used an angle grinder with a sanding disk
And use NEW copper washers on each side of the hose when bolting it up with the banjo bolt for that caliper
Also make sure you're placing the caliper on the proper side of the car, or you'll have a fail time of bleeding the system
How often do you have to stomp on the brakes?
Is it just me or does everyone have trouble stopping except for me?
Or maybe just use Mkviii calipers? How often do you have to stomp on the brakes? Is it just me or does everyone have trouble stopping except for me?
Personally, I'd love to have a bigger brake setup. If I had my druthers, I'd put a set of 14" cross-drilled and slotted rotors on the front with 6 piston calipers and 13" on the back with 4-pot calipers. I love BIG brakes!! But like NoLimit, I have never really had a problem with the brakes stopping my Mark with little fuss. They do seem sort of smallish at 11.5" in front and 10" in the rear, but they do the job nicely. I do plan on getting a set of cross-drilled and slotted rotors some day. But as far as warpage, the '97 hasn't had that problem so far but my '96 used to warp front rotors like crazy. I know I put at least 3 sets on it during the ten years I owned it.
I got out at the red light and measured em, duh...How do you know they weren't, did you put a micrometer on them?
That is all
Too cold and wet and snowy to be outside, Dad!
