picking up rear rotors to finish her tomorrow when the calipers are in
filled up my LWB Silverado...with parts from a 95 BoB LSC, seats, complete doors, int trim panels, console, shifter, complete ABS unit incl all connectors and lines- even the dash lites, a/c, trunk and lites, fender, much more- still need carpet, rear deck/dash and steering wheel...175
Just had a "duh" moment a couple of days ago when I realized my '95 doesn't have a fold down arm rest in the back seat I thought they all had that feature. Now I'm thinking about taking the back seat out of the '97 and dying it white and putting it in the '95.
The rear armrest is the only reason I chose a Gen2 over a gen1.
Not to sound like a dick..but who cares? You sit in your back seat while you drive? If its that important find a 96 with ivory interior and pull the back seat. The rear arm rest started in 96 fyi.
Went outside this morning to start it Front end was lower than normal, pumped it up just fine. Went outside just now and its low again:Bang
pumped it up and hit switch, so now its a waiting game.
I'm guessing the arnott shocks finally are cracking, will confirm that tomorrow.
If its bags might just convert it and be done with it:frown:
How old are your Arnotts?
Yup..join the club evan! If you use your mark as a DD I wouldn't bother keeping air ride on it on the off chance the compressor decides to take a sh*t from years of pumping up leaky bags when you have to be somewhere. If you can take one common failing part out of the equation to make it more dependable..do it!
Just got home from class checked it again with having the switch off this time, and its starting to get low again Looks like I have some decisions to make. I'm pretty sure its the bags, if i'm extremely lucky it could be the solenoid seals but i doubt it.
All you spring conversion guys, is the ride harsh at all since you converted? Anyone use AAS conversion kit?
I absolutely love my ride. These are the 1" dropped Vogtland. It handles much better than any air ride car I've driven, however nothing will be as smooth gliding as an air system
I believe AAS uses a Strutmaster coil

dnsherrill I wonder if i can transport that front dash in my trunk or back seat of my mark VIII...[/QUOTE said:You can.....Will not fit completely in the trunk.
In the cabin area.......Just make sure to remove the front passenger seat and the rear back and seat cushions, otherwise you may have to replace more parts the dash's sharp metal protrusions will cut up.
