I used to work at PPG Auto Glass and i think i must have glued 5000 rear view mirror wedges on windshields that Glass shops ordered for their customers.
the trick to a succesful job is not to use too much adhesive. clean windshield, spray primer, then use only 1 small drop of glue. set wedge on glue dot and DONT move it at all for 30 secs. wait a few min for glue to set. then mount mirror. Hope this helps. if you just cant seem to do this properly, take it to a glass shop nearby and they will do it for you very cheap or free.

the last 2 times i've done it with only a little adhesive..1st time it came down after 4 days..This time i used even less so i guess we'll find out soon..

I cant use any less if it falls again. It was atad bigger drop then the size of a bb.

Installed the airbox and filter that Laser gave me, and tried seafoaming more, still no smoke.

So I dumped a can of B12 in the tank and added 14 gallons of 93oct from Shell :)
also added a quart of oil, I need an oem oil cap, the one I have is way too hard to get off

Installed another gauge cluster and I now have a working tachometer, which I haven't had since I bought the car in Feb. Installed the bezel that goes from the headlight switch all the way over to the passenger air bag and I also installed a matching passenger air bag and the very end piece too. All this came out of the 93 black on black. Now all of it blends in with the trim on the black door panels.

The stuff that was up there went with the lite graphite interior. Looks much better now and I love having a working tach again. :D

well, I guess this post to the "what did you do thread" can be called "what didn't I do....

.... I didn't buy the 93, so the 95 stays intact....until I find a good replacement....

I was so upset...supposed to be pristine, excellent condition, drove 2.5 hours 1 way and tagged my nephew along so I could have a rider for my 96 back home, and it sucked....
pasgr door rusted all along the bottom and had a 3" spot of good rust on the upper half (above the silver trim!)
drivers side window needed new motor,
psgr window needed regulator
radio antenna was disconnected or burnt out,
back seat was not attached (it was in there but not attached you could pick it up
underside was decent, but lots of rust
pasgr rear shock mount busted
cruise control didn't work
pasgr seat upper control was stuck up so psgr had high knees

but most of all...the press on wood all over it was disgusting ..

I was so disappointed....

Outran Sapperfire a couple times. :D

From a stop I pulled 10 cars before hitting 80. Second run we ran from a roll and since I forgot to have the car in the proper gear I only pulled 6 cars or so. :wrench

Got some carb cleaner and cleaned the MAF hoping that would help the idle. Took the car around the block a few times and she ran real good untill I got back in the driveway and put it in neutral, after about 5 mins she was back to her old tricks.
Gonna have to pull the intake and get to that IAC.
Also will have to talk to Max and get some more parts since i'll exposing so many.

Please tell me you didnt use plain carb cleaner on the MAF.. or am I reading too much into your comment? I have heard that regular carb cleaner cant even be used on TB's... the plates are coated and that stuff just eats the coating off the plates in the TB.. imagine what it will do to your MAF.

This is an example of a good site vs a bad one. I posted this same question on Lincolns online a while back and it's not received half the replies as this forum.

Oh and I changed the plugs and oil on the Mark. Gotta find my tranny leak now...

Replaced the vacuum hoses coming off the intake to the PCV since one was collapsed. That explains my shi.tty gas mileage and performance.

Then I washed her, but it was too f-ing hot to do a good job, so i ddi a quick wash and rinse, air dry =/ and then just sprayed brake dust remover on the chrome rims... didnt scrub or polish - thankfully since it monsooned later that day!

I think the paint looks great, minus the few light scratches, and the rims are in incredible xcondition - theres one or two chips on the rear drivers side - but no peeling, chipping, bubbling or anything.

YES THEY ARE STILL ON BACKWARDS...I KNOW!!

Carb cleaner is supposed to be bad news for your O2 sensors as well as most of the other various sensors in and around the intake and exhaust. Just use TB cleaner and be safe.

Discovered that I need to leave the paint and body repair to someone else..
Tried wetsanding the sun fade on the rear bumper...KK come to Texas!
