What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Washed it and cleaned the TB. Runs a little smoother now. With the weather warming up the front suspension will be rebuilt shortly.

Front left uca started creaking..It has a slit in the boot so i'll prob fill it up and see if it goes away..If not 2 uca's are in my future. At the same time it will get new rotors and pads as well.

I changed the PCV and air filter just now. Will fill her up with 93 and a bottle of Sea Foam and should be all good for awhile.

Washed the Cordovan CE for the first time since I got it in December. Cleaned up majority of the interior. Still need to replace driver/passenger seat bottoms. Ran wires to 1200Amp then to 1100watts 10" sony explode and also ran #4 wires for future battery install in trunk.

Last attempted to drive to class this evening to find out i only have 1st and 2nd

The End.

Makes the audio install seem kinda pointless, huh?

yea thats what I was saying. Im gonna get it right even if I have to take it out for the fourth time.:D I am learning to be a lot faster at installing and reinstalling the trans though. After all this time and 1000000000 quarts of mercon v I should've just brought a low mileage trans from car-part.com and been done with it. I seem to learn the hard way.

Wait, are you trying to rebuild it yourself?

I got mine stuck in my driveway. I have nothing else to drive since my wife uses the fwd. It does fine on the plowed roads but I stopped dead when I backed into the driveway.

I looked over all of the parts internally with one of my homeboys who is also mechanically inclined. No bad teeth or worn parts besides up at the top where the pump was located. Due to the fact the torque converter wasnt installed properly the first time. What had happened was metal parts by the pump was binded together in some parts. So I changed the pump out. Inside the trans all other parts looked damn good its was nice and clean in there. None of the friction plates were worn either.

woke up this morning got ready to go look at this 1998 gray lsc blk interior down in Myrtle beach today 4.5 hours later i get to Zach's house a guy that don called and told me about the mark viii for sale for 1200.00 it was a great looking car from the passenger side until u walk around to the drivers side and OMG WHAT THE :q:q:q:q happened to this ... don fall to mention that the car was boned int he rear quarter panel...... so i proceed to look over the car the interior is flawless and the headlights yellowed the drivers headlight moisture omg not again so i call gman and say bro wtf how much this and that and its about more than what i was about to pay for this car... so my wife gets out DAMN what happened , we planned on driver both cars back. Well just got done replacing the drive belt, IAC for the hell of it, and changed out the spark plugs again after just a week and a half. Went back to the Motorcraft 433's iridium.

Started removing the engine from the parts car, had a front end collision so it's not your normal removal.

I did that one time many years ago. It sealed up those pesky dryrot cracks for a good many months.

My bags are in perfect condition and not a single micro crack in all 4 bags. I talked to LaserSVT last night and after hearing what he said, I looked at the air lines going to the pump dryer. I inspected all of them and noticed one of them was leaking at the fitting. So I fixed that and I will see what happens.

You can pull the line out of the strut and it still shouldnt cause the car to drop. When the solinoid on the bag closes thats where the air stops.
Did you try and turn off the air ride system yet and let it sit? Like I said, if you do that and the car still drops then the solinoid o-rings are leaking or the bags are.
