What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Started working on the D/S front suspension on the wife's '97 LSC yesterday afternoon. Got the UCA almost removed. That nut under the master cylinder is a pure beyotch!!! I was hoping that I could get the UCA off without taking the air spring/shock out. No such luck. Oh well. I'll probably work on it a little more this afternoon after work if I have enough daylight. If not, it'll wait until Saturday. It'll be yet another day of drinking beer, cussing, throwing things, shaking of fists, and gnashing of teeth:D

I would of sensored lowered it before taking it to alignment shop.

You would think that would be a good idea....., but I'm not sure exactly what day I'm going to have the extra hour to sensor lower it, and I'm driving it around right now to check for any issues so I don't want to jack up the new tread since I just threw the alignment way out of wack replacing the lower control arm.

Plus, the my buddies shop is right by my office and he does it for free :)

****I just threw the alignment way out of wack replacing the lower control arm.

Ain't that the truth! I didn't realize how bad it would throw the alignment off when I replaced the p/s UCA, LCA, sway bar link, and outer tie rod end on my wife's '97. I marked everything and tried to get it all back together as close to how it was as possible. But the thing was still horribly off kilter. I expected a little variation, but wow. Anyway, it's jacked up in the driveway now while I'm working on the driver's side. And when I'm done with that, I've got to put a d/s outer door handle on it. And then get it lined up and inspected so I can renew my registration. I'll be so glad when I get all this stuff done.

Ordered the black Saleens from Brad.... Not sure if I want them on my midnight grey one or on the black one to finish out the murder....?

Dropped the '97 off at the shop yesterday for an alignment. It was off real bad. I had to turn the steering wheel about 45* to the left to keep it straight:eek: And there was a nice little wowowowowowow sound the whole way! But on the plus side, there was no more squeaking and creaking from the front and no rattles over bumps! Those old ball joints were about to go bye bye. Anyway, it'll be done this afternoon and all will be right with the world:)

finally got to do some stuff today, Swapped out the CD changer I bought here, works great!! I swapped out all the crappy 'Kicker' speakers someone put in it with OEM stuff I had saved from previous parts cars. Took off seat trim and will be repairing it soon. Got chip out of car that was causing an electrical :q:q:q:q up. Took the neon to a neon sign shop and he is willing to try to repair it. What else......

changed out #7 and #8 coils, they were apparently misfiring, as per the dealer but they look brand new. Thats about it for now

Stock stuff as a replacement for crap? That's a pot calling the kettle black. Must have been REAL bad stuff. lol

Tried to get an alignment today too. I got a quote from a small transmission shop, thought I'd do better where my grandmother takes her Buick, failed after an hour in traffic, then the original place was closed. Oh well. I'll get it tomorrow maybe.

I really can't imagine how anything can be worse than the stock speakers, JBL or not.

I got another notice from city zoning about my Mark today.

Got the '97 LSC back from the alignment shop yesterday. My wife drove it home and said it felt like a totally different car. She said she was surprised when she turned the steering wheel and the car actually went where she pointed it! New stuff is great!!!

I put in Aftermarket H4's...well OK I did it yesterday so does that count for this thread?
