What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

You can pull the line out of the strut and it still shouldnt cause the car to drop. When the solinoid on the bag closes thats where the air stops.
Did you try and turn off the air ride system yet and let it sit? Like I said, if you do that and the car still drops then the solinoid o-rings are leaking or the bags are.

I am turning the air off tonite and see. Thanks

Got a new shifter knob, mine was eaten by a dog, so i got
One out of a 94 rose mist that had 40k on it. So its mint! Was gonna get a
Center console too but buddy was asking 100 for
It, is that a fair price or what?

Actually I was going to do that tomorrow after work and shut the air off if what I did today does not fix it. The leak was noticeable when I took the wheel well skirt off.

If that hose was leaking that indicates that solinoid is stuck. If the car is just sitting and has already vented to park height and you still heard air coming from that loose hose then you need to replace that solinoid. I have some good ones but they will need orings if you want me to send them to you.
Please do check with power off first though as I like having spare solinoids around. :D

Got the new remote for my wife's '97 LSC and programmed it for her yesterday. The car didn't have a clicker when we bought it and she could never remember the code for the keypad, so I got her a remote. It works quite nicely. She loves it.

Going to get up early tomorrow morning and start tearing the '97 LSC's front suspension apart. Hopefully, I can get it all done tomorrow. I've got to fix the clutch in my stepson's '94 Exploder first, though. Hopefully that won't take long. I just have to get the hydraulic coupler back into the fitting on the side of the bell housing where it goes to the slave cylinder. There's a burr on the coupler and it won't go past the snap ring. It's driving me crazy and a new hose is $82 frakkin' bucks:eek: So I'll be filing that burr off in the morning and hoping it will go back in. Then it's off to the Lincoln:) Yay!

Grrrrr! Just finished installing the passenger's side front UCA, LCA, new air spring/shock, sway bar link, and outer tie rod end. Took all day! That was a job and a half!!! And I still have to do the driver's side. And to top it all off, the d/s outside door handle broke!!! And the front end is badly out of alignment. But I expected that. But one good thing happened, I got my HID's for my '96 in the mail today! Yay! I'll be able to see at night...maybe...

All day? Was stuff siezed? That takes me less then 2 hours to do both sides.

I don't doubt it. But I've never replaced all that stuff on a Mark before. And the car was on jack stands in my driveway, and the lower ball joint didn't want to come out, and that nut on the back side of the shock tower for the UCA was a PITA to get to...etc, yadda yadda. Plus I had to go to the parts store to get a 24mm socket and wrench because I didn't have one. And of course nothing went as planned. And there was much beer involved:D However, I learned a lot, so the other side won't take as long...hopefully.

THAYWOOD, Did you do your step sons Exploder?

I tried. I filed the burr off the coupler and it snapped right into the fitting on the side of the bell housing. I thought all was well:) Then when I pressed the clutch pedal, the coupler popped back out again:mad: I tried to get it back in, but it just wouldn't even try. So I said the heck with it and we bought a new slave cylinder/reservoir/hydraulic hose assembly already bled and ready to go from Rock Auto. Hopefully, it'll be fixed next weekend, along with the other side of the LSC's front end:)

Hey! Ya think my ball joints were shot to sh!t?!

I just installed a set of 5000K low beam HID's in my '96 Mark VIII. They look super cool. I don't know how much of a difference they'll make since my lenses are fcuked up as hell and the chrome is shot, but they still look cool. I'll have to take it out tonight and see if I can see any better:)

I haven't done the wiring mod yet so I'll have to use low beams most of the time. And these aren't the "best" HID's, they were the cheap ones, so they have a tiny flicker at first and it takes them about 20 seconds to get to full brightness. But they appear to put out quite a bit more light than the old ones. And they look pretty good. I'm probably going to put a set in the hi beams later.

Mark8Murder, if you don't mind my asking, what was wrong with it and how much did you pay?

Passenger side lower control arm snapped and sent the wheel up in the fender, thought it may have thrashed the bag but it didn't, barely any inner fender well damage.

He put new michelin hydro edge tires on it, still have the warranty paperwork, new front and rear brake pads and rotors, and a new tensioner. Car is sharp inside and out. Just replaced the lower control arm yesterday and sent it to the alignment shop this morning.

Paid $1,500 for it.

I would have been all over that. Love the color and of course the interior color. Even with the problem you bought it with, you can't beat that price. Sensor lower that thing and it'll be ready.

Sensor Lowering it this week, and picking out some 18's.
