What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Well I had a Sunday to kill & was too tired to drive to the NRA convention. So I drove down to NTB and bought a set of Yokohama As530's for my Mark VIII. The change in the car with new tires is stunning. No more traction control lights, quiet ride & now I can really let the horsepower lose. Pricey Sunday though. Over $650 with the alignment & road hazard deal. We Also got a car wash & a tank of gas.
 
left it at home. :(
moving out of my college apartment so i've got the 250 diesel. :) i hate parking this thing in the parking lots here. :lol:

Nice. I ordered my 3200 a week and a half ago and its just now being shipped.:mad: The only thing i dont like about it is the volume buttons, really should've been a knob.

I forget what trim bezel i bought. I think it was for a mustang/aviator/expo in the 00-04 range. Idk, but a member on lod used it and looks great and a pretty direct fit.

Edit: Metra 95-5026 is the one i bought.

For the price i think it's a steal. 3 sets of 4v,22rmsx4, 8 band eq and a bunch of other sq options. I got mine new for 280 shipped. Then got the harness and bracket for 15 shipped..So under 300 for everything.
 
onlinecarstereo.com..It's 300 shipped but they have a $20 spring coupon avail to everyone(code:spring2011) on a purchase of 250 or more. The harness was 4.50 off ebay and the dd mount kit was $13. At the same time i bought the $10 bypass and a 8gb sdcard(ebay). So all said n done i got everything for 320 shipped.

A seller on ebay is selling a bunch of used one that end up going for around 210 and reman's for 260ish. Figured i mine as well spend the little extra for the warrenty.

avh-p3200dvd..The bt is around 40 bucks more but visually looks the same, just has bluetooth option. Heard it sucks for it though.
 
Mine is the BT version, paid $315 at Best Buy for it. I have an Ebay bypass coming. Thanks for the bezel info.
 
lol, they just switched the price to 319 for the unit. They added the exact amount the coupon was worth..hmm

But yeah, the tracking # they gave me must've been wrong cause its going to springhill, la.. But the weight of said package is very close to what mine should weigh :shifty:
 
I routed my Mic cable up beside the message center display and ran it under the upper dash panel to the side pillar then just to the left of the rear view mirror. It looks good where it is. I am excited to get the finishing touches done.

I just cut down my fender wells and installed some poly sway bar link bushings. Gettin ready to install new rear shocks and change the il. :)
 
I left mine laid out and rode the Roach to work. I heard some wimperin when I rode up. :(
 
Got my 3200dvd delivered. Soldered the 2 wire harness's and the bypass together. Can't solder the speaker leads/remote in till i'm done wiring/installing my components. Mocked up the metra dd kit and it fits nice n snug and looks great so far.
 
Installed some Bilsteins and replaced the rear sway bar link bushings. Also did an oil change and install a front license plate bracket.
 
I hate this time of season in Florida. It is love bug season and we have about 2 more weeks of it.

3rd time I have washed the car this week. The love bugs have some sort of acid in their bodies, and when they get caked on the front of the car and mirrors and windshield, it will eat away at the paint after a few days or a week. And are they hard to get off. A white car will turn black on the front end on one round trip to the store. It is terrible.

I spray the whole front of the car with WD-40. When I get home, I hit it with a hose and they come off much easier.
 
Got the rear comps all done and buttoned up. Clean and right the first time for once. This weekend will be the fronts and dd.
