What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Holy sh*t..how were you able to bring that paint back?? From the one pic you posted of the passenger side it looks like that clearcoat is toast. How is all the trim on the car after sitting outside in the texas sun for two years? What's the price tag gonna be on it now?

Got some 8000k 35w HID's on the way for my hi beams. Got just the bulbs on ebay for something like $7 bucks shipped. I've got two extra slim digital ballasts so I didn't need the whole kit. So when they get here I'll have HID hi and lo beams.

here ya go, the sw mod begins about halfway into the article...good write up from Lincolns Online,

Cool. Thanks! :)

That'll be one of my many projects this weekend. I don't have the kids again until Tuesday and I'm off work tomorrow. So I'm planning on changing the oil and hydraulic fluid in my '53 Ford 8N Redbelly tractor, changing the exhaust, front UCA's, front and rear air shocks/bags, IAC/TPS, and a few other things from the '97 to the '95 and mow my yard. I want to get this all done tomorrow but there's no telling if I can get it all done. Gotta work Sunday but I'm off Monday too. Probably won't get much done Monday though because I've got to go to the doctor for a biopsy on my prostate (getting old...:() Yay for me.

Coming home today I found my drive shaft harmonic. We bit unnerving and now I know what it would be like if I did deep gears without using my spare '93 shaft :p

Trim is good. Expensive machine + expensive chemicals = nice paint finnish.
Cars going up for $2500.

Woke up this morning and felt obligated to freshen my photo catalog, so I took my sexy thang out for a little late magic hour fun.

Came across TWO 2nd gens at another local car show last night..don't see them often let alone two in one night.

I've seen this one many times before..older guy who owns it, probably the original owner, very clean car.

Then came across this gem..the one that's been posted in craigslist finds numerous times before..pretty much just as ugly in person.

New wheels, 17x8 30mm bullets all the way around, new Hankook Ventus (v12?) 245/45/17 all around. Got the UCA/LCA's changed, rear shocks put in, 4 wheel balance. The thing actually drives in a straight line now and pretty smooth, a huge improvement from where it came anyways.

Had a new head-unit put in, install turned out pretty sweet!IMG_20130719_190115.jpgIMG_20130720_190919.jpg

There is some hot-roddage around the cities this weekend because of the Car Craft show going on at the state fairgrounds. I had to run to the store today to get some groceries and decided to give a little chase to a Mustang GT that was in front of me at the light. What happened next he never expected. We were both in the left turn lane. When it turned green he rounded the corner and I turned and got into the lane next to him and matted it to the floor. He maintained moderate throttle (no race) and I see him looking in the rear view mirror at me as I managed to get the car completely sideways around the corner. When I got up to the light he says, " I would give you a race, but man there is a lot of cops along this road here but I gotta say what you just did back there was completely insane. I looked in my rear view mirror and all I saw was your passenger door! That was awesome!" :D

I really got way out of hand on that one and I think that was the most successful drifting that I have ever done in this car. I'm fairly certain that my rear tires were on the shoulder of the road spinning. LOL

got my routine rotation and balance, the front wheels were on backwards so they swapped em side to side; they told me a same side front to back, back to front rotation is good...??

Front to back on the same side is the only way to properly rotate when using directionals.

my keyless entry buttons don't light up anymore... :(

In 2 lane side of roadway where the left lane changes to a mandatory left turn at the next light. Freaking new Charger is next to me at the light I am at, when it changes Green I leave about 1/3 throttle cause I don't want to get stuck behind any cars on the road I am gonna wind up on.

Next thing I know I hear said Charger floor it to try to cut me off to get in front of me. Dunno if he was a V6 cause from the lil bit of the car I saw it seemed like a Hemi? Anyway ya wanna look at it he ended up following me down said road :N

I've heard you aren't supposed to reverse the rotation of belted radials by rotating side to side rather than front to back. Supposedly it can cause vibration issues? I always just rotate front to back so whatever.

Didn't get as much done yesterday as I had hoped. I had to go to my house in West End and get my tractor yesterday morning and I ended up staying most of the day. So I'm planning to do some stuff this afternoon when I get home from work. If it doesn't rain on me again :( Got some LED's to install in the message center and maybe install the DVD head unit. Lots to do and not enough time to do it.

Took door panel off to replace door jam switch on driver door after changing to a k&n air filter and put in my buddies drilled air box for fun. Than had to go pick up kids so had up stop work on door switch. To finish later
