What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

I added a little more sealer to my passenger side headlight, cleaned and conditioned the leather and cleaned the interior panels with Meguiar's interior detailing wipes. I washed the panels first with plain water then used the wipes, and they brought out dirt that I had no idea was there. They made my door panels look new again.

Completed a project I started a week or so ago on my DA....
Used this.....
To replace this.....
Look at the old UCA ball joints!
And the condition of the POS Arnott rebuilt struts.....
The previous owner had installed the Arnott pump and struts. I replaced them with Ford parts. The Ford struts have about 10,000 miles on them and were on my 93 before I converted it to coils. The Ford pump came off my 97 when I converted it to coils.
I am going to get a new pump from Eddie at some point this summer. I'm already running a Spider Valve, so the bags will be nice and dry inside!
Goes in for an alignment on Wednesday, then I'm putting my chrome 10 spokes on it.

That forklift on the last page would have been easy to unstick.... a jack and a couple boards and then reverse it right off... Must not have many offroaders near you. High-centers are easy to solve.

Started working on changing out the smog pump in the '96 Mark. Anyone ever replaced one of these? The froggin' ABS controller is right behind the smog pump perfectly positioned to be in the way! It looks like I may be able to get to it by removing the headlight housing. It's too hot right now. Maybe I'll mess with it some more this weekend.

Shampoo'd the carpets/int detail and washed it. Didn't get around to waxing it. Also found a cut in the ballast to bulb hot wire. It got partially cut one way or another and was arching/not working. Soldered it back together and taped it. I'll be ordering a backup hid kit in the near future.

why couldnt you install it? you need the special studs for it to mount it correctly. its a little tricky but i did it to my old black 93 it looks awesome on a gen 1, way nicer than the stock giant beauty cover!

it needs trimming to clear the coil packs and i dont have enough time to do it before carlisle, so for now the stock gen 1 beauty cover will stay.

thanks i like them alot better than the Octos i had on it.. only now i need 2 more 18" tires for the other 2 rims, cant afford em right now

How do you get the halves of the visor apart without breaking the snaps? Also does the tan oval trim piece with the 3 holes snap off?
