What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Just bought my drilled and slotted rotors! Thanks Laser for finding them. Got the front and back for 163 off of the ebay

Of course it's "boucny"! You're basically riding on the bump stops:biggrin:

Looks good though

Thanks thaywood. I wanna figure out a way to make the bump stops have some cushion. I have new rear shocks. Well, Monroe SensaTracs's lol. Not the worse shock in the world but surely not the best.

I drove like that on highway 90 in Biloxi during Scrapin the Coast last year. The rear was not bottomed out seeing that I swapped the shocks for some new ones from a 89 t-bird. Give me a little cushion. :)

The road was smootha nd traffic was slow. So I had no problem and the Mark looked sweeeet. I'll be going back this year.

Anyways, I bought my trac-loc! :-D

If I would have been riding slow, it would be smooth but riding at 40, smooth is impossible for mine. My rear shocks are only a year old maybe and were meant for a t-bird. The "Ray's switch" bottoms me completely out and you were talking about removing your bump stops to get even lower in the rear. I'm trying to figure out a way to add a little to the bump stops for added cushion. I'm not going to be riding slammed or anything but just in case I wanna play around and drop it, I could do without the ass bounce. :p

My sensa tracs are doing fantastic at just about a year old compared the gas-matics I had on it before. Those were complete junk right out of the box.

For 30ea I ain't complaining.

YUP! I have 4.10's in a box at home. Decided to do a new bearing set as well and a new u-joint cross looking thing. I want to do all of this once I find a 93 drive shaft.

I did lots of readin on here and decided 4.10's were the better way to go with no supercharger of any sort on the motor. I am looking forward to it! Now, just gotta find someone that knows what they are doing and get it done for me. This is one avenue that I am not trusting of myself with. I just don't know enough.

I know the feeling. So far, my 1969 Galaxie spec heavy duty Gabriel Gas Ryders are doing great! They really stiffened up the back end of the car and cured my "side-stepping" issue. They are extremely firm and the car does not bounce at all going over speed bumps and keeps its composure over rough pavement too. I'm very satisfied. And at $6 bucks each, I ain't complaining either:D

Took this pic yesterday out in front of a store nearby. I drove it like this for about a 1/2 mile or less down a road I thought was very smooth..... NOT. Never again will I do that. While driving, I reset the "Ray's switch" and was back up to normal within a minute. Extremely bouncy when dropped like that.

that looks good slammed, you don't need a registration sticker on your window or inspection? i think front windshields look clean with nothing on them, here in NY we need both inspection and registration sticker on the left side of the windshield.

I've never had to have stickers on my windshield. One of the very few reasons why I don't mind living in this state..

I'm gonna move in with Nolan and register my car in Ok ..lol

No window stickers is nice

Lucky lol, i wish NY had no emissions tests, front plate laws and stickers on front windshield. I'd take out the mufflers and 3rd cat, put in an x-pipe and straight pipe it to the back

Michigan has no stickers or tests.... BUT we have that nasty salt in the winter

And the armpit of Michigan that's known as Detroit..

Well I don't worry about any of those things anyway..front plate..required in IL but don't care, don't run one anyway, window sticker? Really? its 2"x2" put it in the bottom corner of the windshield and don't worry about it, I know thats something I don't pay attention to on anyone's car at least..so long as you remove the old ones unlike some lazy ass people lol, and emissions..easy, just buy a pre 96 :D

Nope, no stickers here in Alabama. I have JL stickers on but I ain't putting registration stickers in my windshield. That would drive me insane. There is no inspections here that I know of. They do have an inspections spot at the courthouse but that's for people that have been stopped for tint, headlight out, tail light out, etc... They come out and inspect to make sure you fixed it and then dismiss the ticket. No emissions or whatever inspections here. No front plates either.

Hell, you can drive in Alabama with no windshield at all and nothing would be said but don't let those windows be too dark. They have a fit about that.

I just got back last night from driving to Clanton, AL & back home here in FL - 340 mile trip one-way. Pretty uneventful trip except I think my tranny is about to go in the TBird - it's making all kinds of funny clicking noises, and doesn't want to shift sometimes. All we did was put 700+ highway miles on it - WTF?
