What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

i'm pretty sure tire size front to back matters.

i remember reading sapperfire's tire shop put short tires on the back of his car once and the TC flipped out.

If you were to raise or lower the tire preasure in back would it make a difference? Try it.

You might be right. I'm not entirely sure. But I thought the t/c was basically based on rear tire slip. Also noticed a while ago when I went out for lunch that my left rear tire was a little slack. Put some air in it and didn't defeat the t/c and it didn't kick in:confused: We'll see on the way home tonight.

tapped threads into the plastic radi tank, then snugged up the 1/4'' npt brass fitting- nice bite....supposed to be 51 degrees on Saturday, I'll permanently affix/epoxy it then start filling oils and fluids back..maybe flush first?

It would be a good time to get it all out. I however would just mix up some new af and replenish whats missing. You'll go through about a jug.

:Bang
well, this is the tail end of my oil flt adapt gask replacement...(yea, my dumbarse broke the plastic radi connection)...so coolant is essentially 'all out'
....re; flush, I was thinking more along the line of temp capping the barb on the repaired overflow nipple, closing the drain cock, then flushing tap water from a garden hose in the upper radi port and out the lower radi port
...I'd also like to leak-check my new overflow connection before filling the system and driving

fixes

did the blend door last month and fixed the light on my trunk 2 new tires, new fan motor for heating and cooling and today I hope to put duel exhaust on it!! then I'M done except for the blinkers in the mirrors!! any one have any puddle lights for a 97????

Well the front control arm bushings I sprayed 2 weeks ago are still silent. It makes it sound and drive (In my head?) like less of a pos in the cold now. I'm impressed.

My plan is to make it go away the hard way. After all, as someone said, 'they are just fancy T-Birds on coils.' But now some fool is offering me a 300D and ... I dunno.

I think my exact statement was that a Mark VIII on coils is just a T-Bird in a tux:D But glad to hear you're going back to air ride. There's nothing like it:) But make sure you use the OEM Motorcraft air shocks. I'm running Arnotts right now and so far so good. But if I had the money I'd go with Motorcraft. But with my current situation, that's not likely to happen:(

As for what I did today, drove to work. Still had to turn off the T/C:mad: I'm working 12's Satruday and Sunday so I don't know if I'll have time to pull the wheels and check the ABS sensors but I've got to figure out what the frog is wrong with that T/C. It's driving me nutty(er).

I just sold my 4x5 and extras for $1200. I'm sad to see it go but I hardly ever use it.

Should almost buy what I need for my suspension. They hacked out the original air so I will need some air lines as well.

Long story short, I had the van apart the wife was at work so I had to take the Lincoln out to get a tool. The road by our house hasn't been plowed, at all, got home and could only make it a couple of feet up the drive way. Could hardly get enough traction to even park it half way decent on the road. I didn't realize how quickly that thing red lines :D

I bought about 100 ft of 3/16 (factory size) air lines recently, but only need a very small amount. Let me know how much you need and we can work something out.

Anyone know if Motorcraft IAC comes with its own gasket? I am browsing RockAuto to buy a new IAC, an oil filter adapter gasket, fuel filter, paper filter.
