What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

So i found wheels at pepboys. And used tires. 235-40-18 front 265-35-18 rear for cheap. What does. The hive mind think?

What on Earth does PBoys have that would fit a Mark and make sure the diameters aren't to far off or you'll have fun with traction control :(

as far as traction control is concerned, that height difference should be fine.

however, that overall height is a little short. (and IMO too skinny.)
your speedo will be wrong. it will read 60 when you are only doing 57.
i would want 275/40-18 and 245/45-18 myself.

but, they will work fine.

more fuel you going power adder?

Anything more than I have now would require more fuel.

I received the pump today. It is huge! I have no idea where I'm going to mount it. I may have to mount it rearward of the tank. Maybe in the trunk. LOL :D

New LMS exhaust for the '98

The shop got the angles correct on this one but oddly had to cut some sheet metal in order to get the mufflers to tuck correctly. They also had to put an upward bend into the pipes. Hmm. Different than the '97. Whooda thunk. Not quite as powerful sounding as mine either. A little more Lincoln-like. I think they're perfect!!! Perhaps some video tomorrow. God bless Lincoln Motor Sport! Thanks, Geno! Ima happy camper. :D

Sapper, in order to get them to sit snuggly up into the cutouts, they had to shave the bumper support a bit. The '98 also had additional brackets to brace the old mufflers on the inside. My '97 definitely did not. We left those in place and, consequently, the mufflers are not perfectly centered in the cutouts. Odd, huh? Prolly shouldna said sheet metal. Sorry. Chick move.

tried to fix this 1o disc CD changer

No luck can't get it go quit running thru the cycles and then say NO CD. But getting my starting fluid to check for leaks and then grabbing some seafoam for the weekend cleanup and oil change.

If you've never used SeaFoam before... the best place to do it is at WalMart- when its crowded ... lol

I prefer the bottle that you pour out, not the spray ones. The spray ones always leave more in the can than you've got pressure to get out, so its wasted. Besides that - the pour bottles can be used for all your cleaning needs
1) pour half the can in the fuel tank.
2) pour 1/4 into your oil fill
3) suck the rest into the intake via the brake booster hose... not prior to the Throttle Body as the TB shouldn't be cleaned internally

airrides fixed on the 98, headers bought for the 97 and 4.10 gears and traction lock rounded up also. cobra intake someday. thanks everone who help me with the airride i also had to replace the compressor. but the car rides nice and stays up.

auto lamps

Every car forum I've ever been on has one of these as a sticky....
**hint hint**

What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Today I managed to get my autolamps working. Removed the top pad and started testing the ambient light sensor. Somehow it just started working.

my autolamps will not go off unless i remove the horn relay located under the hood. also with the relay out my interior lights do not work, nor my electric locks.
I have change relay, change dimmer switch, change sensor light,
thought you might have a suggestion
thanks

If you know you have the auto turned off at the switch, it's possible the switch itself is bad and you might need to get you another one off ebay or something.

well i still have a leak the driverside dropps over night. but comes up in the morning. it will be the first time i drive her to work. and pics of the headers when they get here.

Did the seafoam yesterday and wat a show. Car runs smooth but CEL still on. Giving it a couple of days then clearing it manually.

Ummmm, washed the car Saturday, covered in ice Sunday. Primarily due to the freezing rain Saturday night.

Spent the better part of a half hour defrosting the car once I was actually able to get in it. Managed not to break any door handles though. :)

Did break and fix one wiper though.
