What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Started troubleshooting problems with the locks and keyless entry on the Blue 93, which led to taking off the left door panel. I then replaced it with a better panel that Jamie gave me when I bought the car from him 3 summers ago...

Time flies......

I need to check plug tmrw. Think it finally time to change the o ring valve cover. Car started to hesatate again. I need to try the seafoam.

Seafoam is great! I tried something different a while back on my '96 and noticed an immediate improvement in idle quality. I attached a vacuum hose to the unused vacuum block in the center of the intake and sprrayed some throttle body cleaner through the hose. Same principle as seafoam, but with an aerosol can. I was sitting in the driver's seat feathering the gas while I did this to make sure it kept running. As I sprayed the TB cleaner through the intake, I noticed immediately that the idle smoothed out. And after the can was empty and I put the little rubber cap back on the vacuum block, the idle remained smooth and it started running much better than it had before.

If you try it, just make ferdamsure that you use THROTTLE BODY cleaner and not carb cleaner. And make sure that the TB cleaner states that it is oxygen sensor safe.

Laser post the pic!

installed my new grill....yay

I sprayed it high gloss black, rechromed it, and traded the Gen1 logo for a Gen2

got my HId convrsion kit stashed for later , bought the trac lock rebuild kit and now just need time to setup the 4:10's

Do you not look at your own progress thread ya tard?

You know how this phone is, takes forever for these pages to load

Finally changed my belt after thinking it was my ac pully. Cleaned out the MAF.

I took Sapperfire for a ride and made him grab the "Oh poopies" handle 3 times. :D

Yeah, I need a 5-point in that seat, and quit adjusting the damn thing, everytime I ride I hve to fix it..MY SEAT!! Bad Laser!!

I scrubbed my door panels with degreaser cuz some nasty mechanic has been drivin my car....

First time I had the Mark on lift since I got it this weekend, looks good and dry except a few places.

Wound up installing a new A/C Compressor (was leaking around the outer housing.

Replaced both rear calipers (leaking)

Then found both my rear brake lines were smashed, so installed some new brake lines.

Buffed the headlights and installed a new passenger door handle.

Turned into a full day, but well worth it!!

went to shop to find out LBDs window motor is kaput and a new one will roll around 160.00. I can get the panel of, I can get the motot off, butt after that....Im lost.. poop!

Oh well, if thats all I got to cry about Im happy....but LBDs compressor might be giving outl.... and her brake line (literally) keeps making itself visable under the drivers door causing the brake light to come on (I know this cause I ziptied the cable up and the msgr center light goes off...and yes fluid is fine).

To give her deserved love though, she took her longest trip this weekend. I have never had her outta town, but this weekend I went hiking 50 miles from here - she did good on both out and return trips ;)

Tux...well, I just rubbed him a little...weather here sucks this weekend.

Drove the '96 back from Mobile, AL - 925 miles to home after the Hot Rod Power Tour. :D

You need a parts car so when those things go bad you have some sitting on the shelf.

I'm not Jamie .... I just part out my old ones that have gone to retirement ... then fill up my shelves with parts so I have them what I need them ...

So do you need a window motor?

A drunk Mexican guy sideswiped my '98 tonight. No insurance, no drivers license. He took out the front wheel and fender, broke a whole section of the rim off. then slid down the whole driver's side of the car and blew the rear air spring. I have a $1000 deductible too. I don't know what I'm going to do.

Oh man, sorry to hear that. youre not the only one that happened to in the last month or 2. I hope they caught the guy!

That's f'n BS!! One of two things should happen...The American government should be held accountable for their lack of true border patrol and for not getting this f'rs out of here!

Secondly, he should be jailed, the government should pay for your damage, and he should have to work until his debt is paid off, then he gets shipped back to his own country where he belongs!

Come legal or GTFO!

Sorry you have to deal with this man! I couldn't even imagine how frustrated you must be right now...

They took the guy off to jail. He pissed himself in the street while doing the field sobriety tests which he failed miserably. I'm not a racist guy but I'm sick of these ****ing Mexicans who don't obey our laws and get away with it. This is the second time in 2 or 3 months I've been hit. He also hit my neighbor's car.

I hope its repairable. The only part I'm worried about is the part of the body behind the door which is really bent in. None of the glass is broken and the headlight is OK. I had to bend the back of the front fender up real good to get the door open. Don't know if I can get a rim either. Not even sure what model they are. I have Cobra brakes, so I cant put the set of Supercoupe rims I have on it but I do have some 17" Cobra R rims, but the tires are really worn out. i may put the rear wheel on the front and put a SC rim on the back for now.

it appears that mine has blown and spew'd my 134A all over the interior of the engine bay.. This happened to occur at the same time my two brand new less then 3 months old Arrnot air/struts blew out while running on 95N @ 75MPH. so I spent the better part of the morning and afternoon diagnosing the problem, only after replacing BOTH front bags did the car finally pump up.. after inspecting the bags I could not find any reason for the failure I did not see any sign of a cut, tear of blow out.. the orings in the selenoid were seated properly and in good shape..
