What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

well, since the girlfriend moved to Florida and we have regressed a bit relationship wise, idk whats up exactly, i'll know more when i see her the 20th, i have found myself with bunches of time and nothing to do anymore. so down to the basement where i dug out my old headlights. they're in better shape than i thought so the bro and i are going to try to freshen them up a bit.

there is some dark brown in the corners. is that from the bulb heat?

the only thing i am sure about is this...

Got it another free replacement battery from Wal-Mart... Only because it was FREE..one day Ill get the GT black Optima

just about done

got my cobra intake installed and changed the exhaust to 2 1/2 " what a difference dynoed out at 454 horse . feels good and sounds sweet

What i did

Last week, had the oil changed and all fluids checked.
Noticed red fluid in the driveway after very cold weather. (Tranny fluid)
Specifically asked Jiffy Lube to check the tranny fluid level. They probably didn't so after noticing slipping of gears like action took it back up to have the fluid checked. Sure enough, they had to add quite a bit of fluid. I have a gasket leak at the rear end. Easy fix or very extensive work involved?

Also, for years, my anti - lock brakes actually lock up on me and the car will go skidding many feet depending on the speed of travel. is there a way to disengage the anti-lock system and just have regular old braking ?

Please help. kevinmcgrier@yahoo.com if you have info.

Thanks guys

Had the black Gen II professionally detailed inside and out while in my driveway. Buddy of mine ownes a mobile detail rig and he spent close to 4hrs on it. Looks amazing!

*Getting my suspension and brakes back from my coating guy. Can't wait to install all the cherry red parts. Pics will follow the install.

Spent about 3 1/2 hours swapping my base exhaust setup to the LSC exhaust true dual setup. Eh...I like Th way my single sounded better. I really did.

If I X pipe it,will it sound any better? I'm thinking of deleting that third cat and putting it there.

chop the mufflers off the lsc exhuast first before you switch back to the other.

I did that before I installed them. I am going o X pipe it and hopefully it'll sound better.

what i do want is your weather, id love to drive my mark year round. ive had it for two years and havent even put 600 miles on her. ill drive it for a week and something will go wrong. wont have money to fix it till its to late to drive it. sucks balls. ive had 4 different cars since the last time ive driven the mark! LOL well then again ive had 4 different cars in the past 3 months.

This one has actually been a dream to own, nothing major and it still runs and drives excellent. Only thing I've had to fix on mine is the IAC, the TPS, and replaced the original alternator. Almost put 5k miles on it since I bought it.
