What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

Yeah bro it's on it's way, I sent out the lights to Jamie and the corner lense went out. Still gotta send out the tail lights and grill once payments are received
(just answered a few pms)

I am fairly sure I have blown shocks up front that clunk so will swap these in mine and see if the clunk stops. If so then I need to call Max and see about warrenty since they are under a year old. Big thing was the compressor since mine has been off for a couple months now cause its weak and gives me the dreaded "check air ride" from timing out.

You deffinatly have blown shocks up front, I showed you your tire wear...you know what causes it

Sapper, are you selling the lowered coil kit? I was wondering since it looks like you are going with air-ride.

No mate, that's all going on lasers (one day:D)

I have nothing left for an air system, I even ripped all the air lines out of my ride

Finally installed my Sirius satellite today. I hid it in the center console arm rest, I mounted a cigarette lighter in the arm rest box and mounted the receiver on the door of the arm rest. Works great, and it is out of the way.

Flamable cologne, a lighter, and an enclosed space... Sounds like fun.

Nice looking job though! I like it, it's not visible and that is a good thing, because sat radio control units are pretty ugly imo.

I am going to make a closed off cover for the lighter outlet so that nothing could ground out the outlet. But that is for this weekend though. Had a 4 day weekend and wasted the other 3 and waited till today to do this. Laziness I quess.

Happens to the best of us. I was lazy all during my time off, now class is in full swing and I am swamped with no time for my new Mark :(

Getting ready to order all the parts I need to rebuild the front suspension on the '97 LSC. But I have one question. Is there a thread here about how to remove/install strut rod bushings on these cars? I'd like some pics and insight before I jump into it. Thanks.

And yes, I did use the search function. Found absolutely nothing helpful.

Thanks. I figured it would be relatively simple. I just didn't know if there would be anything that needed to be pressed in or out. The rest shouldn't be that difficult. I've got a friend who is going to let me use his lift so that should make it a lot easier.:)

I got her a much need doctors appointment for a check up. Gonna fix my pissing heater core hose issue, new center console, new shifter knob, then exhaust! Stock piping just the two rear cats cut out with magnaflow mufflers.

Pulled out my front air bags and discovered my new one from Five Star has a bent shock shaft and the drivers side shock is blown. :( Oh well, the new ones from keatonsdad seem to be in good shape.
Also swapped over the compressor and its nice to see it opperating correctly and his compressor is WAY quieter then my old one.

Keatons, the reason your rear was dropping is the rear air bags are shot. They are cracked on the lip. Oh well, something for me to shoot at.

Cool good to know. Sorry they sucked or should I say blew. Glad the fronts are getting used as well as the compressor.

On a better note I got all of my parts in for the trans upgrades and picked up my new wheels yesterday pics will come when it stops snowing and I get the car out of the garage

Yeah, compressor and shocks seem great. Just brought her to 140 and was smooth and took the dips nice. :)

Well, my local Firestone shop had a special on tires buy 3 get the 4th free, and a free alignment to go with it. So, I went and had 4 Falken ZE912B tires put on. I had them go ahead and replace all the brake pads and turn the rotors since the tires were off. So all good there for awhile.

The alignment was perfect so I did not need it after they put it on the machine, which I figured.

I inspected all the bushings and T/R's and U & L C/A's and the bags etc, etc, etc. Everything still looks like new. No leaks, oil film nor buildup, greased all the B/J's and other fittings.

The tires that were on it were about 15k from being dead, and I am in the market for new aftermarket rims and tires, so I said what the hell go ahead and get these and then keep looking for new rims and tires and have these for back ups.

So all-n-all, a successful day, and good for another 60k.

Ordered a set of 4 new 275/40/18 Pirellis for $300 shipped... I think the place accidentally put the wrong price on these, they're like $200 each at tirerack. We'll see if it goes through.
