What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

How quiet are those? Have you had a chance to really test em out?

I drove on them for about 10 miles today as they were just installed. Compared to the BFG Touring series that I had on there, much improvement, quiter, smoother ride, and when hitting a bump, seemed dampened from the softer compound. But this is not the first set I had, I have the same set on my wifes 2000 Mustang for almost 10k miles now, and I liked them from the getgo.

I was looking at the Falken 452 series also today, tread pattern is a bit more agressive, but with vehicle wt, and the softer compound, seemed to me that they the 452's would wear much sooner than the slightly harder compound on the 912's.

I'll be buying some all weather with taxes, I'm going to budget $350 for a set

Well Sears Automotive is always selling the Falken's at buy 3 / 4th free deal year round on all model Falkens, it is the only manufacturer that they do this with year round, a set of 4 thru Sears is as I read my qoute: 100.99 ea=403.96 with 100.99 off=303.97, so pretty good pricing for the 912B's. I just went with my Buddy at Firestone as he is across the way from me, and he thru in the alignment for free.

Roadtripping to Chicago

Charged battery, checked oil, checked trans fluid, checked coolant, checked tire pressure, filled gas tank, loaded cd changer. Go Bears.

i fixed big mike's 97 and converted it to coil springs and it totally kicked my ass. his front lower strut bolts were seized into the lower control arms i had to cut the struts off omFg! i am so sore from beating the piss out of his car im going to sit in the tub then go to bed.

I really gotta figure out the idle issue, gonna clean the MAF tommorrow and see what that does. Stalled like 5 times leaving the shop, then when it's warm it idles ok, jsut low. Thanks to you cutting :q:q:q:q apart and beating the piss out of it, it rides pretty good now. I do wanna make my power steering variable assist work again though, its soo light. I for sure need the front end done, too, lots of rattles. Those tires are pretty decent ride quality for cheapos, I think they need to be balanced though. Kinda bumps a bit over 55ish. Thanks again Jamie, you got more work coming your way as long as you don't shoot strut bolts at my balls again. ;) You didn't forget your money on the table did you?

no i got it lmfao i forgot to mention that, mike was standing about 10 feet away from me and i had a bolt in my vice and i was hammering a sleeve off it and the first whack sent that bitch out of the vice at 100 mph it hit the floor and bounced right into mikes dick lol!!! omg that kind of stuff is priceless!

I'll submit my medical bill soon.

Okay, everyone send me a PM with a statement that you would like to be in on a lawsuit to pay for the damages to my penis. C'mon we can do this guys!

had fuel injectors serviced today.

Sears has a three step program which includes running the solvent through the injectors bypassing the fuel pump. Noticed immediate change in the idle for the better...still have issue with car wanting to almost choke out after idling for more than two minutes. I am wondering if my fuel pump needs to be replaced?

well its really cold and i'm bored so i'm repainting the face of my wheels in the house..

installed a new crankshaft position sensor after my car left me stranded at walmart wednesday afternoon, had to walk home (3.5 miles). Wife took me back to car later and it started, drove it home and finally after work today crawled underneath in the 6" snow and 19 ° and swapped it out, not a bad job if it was warmer or i had my garage.

carry on.

My MPG from Nashville to Chicago was 20.6; after having above service performed Chicago to Nashville was 21.6. Injector service was $75.00...money well spent. Going to test the fuel line pressure this week thinking it maybe the fuel pressure regulator giving me issues with the idle...will post my diagnosis.

Check the bottom hose from the fuel filter. They get kinked not allowing proper fuel pressure at idle. My friend had the same problem. It would idle very badly if he was waiting for a long traffic light and sometimes stall. He would have to keep revving it several times to get it to run good again. I cut the line under the fender and ran some rubber fuel line. Problem solved for $3.50 ( 1 ft. of fuel line and 2 hose clamps)
