What did you do to your Mark VIII today?

I got adventurous and washed the car. Spent over 50% of the time scrubbing grasshoppers of teh nose.

Then I fixed my drivers door so it closes easier and then tweeked my door handle so it dont rub.

Dude.... its totaled. :( Any insurance company will total that. :(

I feel for you its so sad to see a nice mark get hurt

it may be totaled but just buy it back and fix it with your ins. money
if its got rust just drive it like it is but no matter what buy it back
if you don't want it I need a winter car sell it to me cheep
 
i finally painted my grill today.. that sucks that he hit your var i woulda fuked his ass up
 
Went out in the pouring rain to make sure I fixed the sun roof leak on my 94. Up drain working as it should with nothing going back into the car.

Rain stopped about 3:00 ... went out to my 93 and put in a new stereo. Thinking now about replacing the OEM JBL speakers ...
 
Passenger side outer door handle broke on the wife's pearl white '97 LSC today. Found one on Ebay for $24.95 plus $10 shipping. Guess I'll order it and spend next weekend installing the fuggin' thing. I really hate those door handles. Is there any way to reinforce them so they don't break again? The one I'm getting looks like it came off a GEN2 but it's still used and over a decade old. I have already replaced both handles on my '96 model. Now it's the new one's turn, I guess.

Do it stock JBL sucks.
 
Well I may luck out and they won't total it. Allstate said the car is worth 6800 and 75% of that is 5100. If it exceeds 5100 they will total it. Right now without seeing what damage there is to the suspension its at 3500 or so. So I will cross my fingers. They took the car to the body shop today to check the suspension.

No uninsured motorist coverage?
 
Red, gotta give it to you for not killing him.... Id be in jail...for a long time.... your suspension will be fine, but the body damage is in some pretty critical points. A body shop it will charge $$$ but you make sure you buy it back, you can get it done for half what a shop would cost. I hope your insurance co. makes the right choice!!! SAVE HER!!!

I know for a fact they can pull the back qtr dent out, yes it looks bad, but I've seen worse get pulled...the front qtr, not sure - I am sure you didn't think, but you'd have been better off gettin out the passenger side, the front coulda pulled out quite a bit also until the door pushed the qtr in. I know from when a guy hit my very first new car in the front qtr. It was only a few weeks old, brand new... cop has the nerve to tell me the dent in the front qtr was there - but it happend when I opened the door, looked just like that.

There is this shop here that puts your car on a machine and slowly pulls it back.. it is super cool to watch, but takes hours to do right.

Prayers that she gets fixed!!!

They're going to replace the front fender, and patch in a new piece behind the door. I'm going to take the door off my '94 to them and have them repaint it and swap out the internal parts and electrical stuff. Hopefully the suspension parts wont put it over the limit of $5100.00. Allstate said they wouldn't allow used suspension parts to be installed.
 
ahhhhh your in good hands.....!!! lol sorry couldn't resist - thank goodness!!!!!!!! Glad to hear the good news!
 
oh and since it's his 2nd offense in as many months, I talk to your county or cities victime crime fund for the deductable, the popo shoulda stopped him from driving he should have either been deported, or still in jail for the 1st accident and not a citizen!!!! someone didn't do their job here !
 
Here they deport illegals who drive drunk. Every law enforcement agency in the country should be participating in 287 (g).

It wasn't the same guy that hit my '94 but they both were Mexicans with no insurance.
