Headlight polishing; has anyone tried coating them?

The SEM clear cures either with the uv light or about 10 minutes in the sun on a nice day. Just sand the old coating off with 1500 wet paper, blow it dry and clear.

Those two pics were the only ones that really came out, we live in town so i didnt want to spend much time and draw attention. It gave me a good wallpaper to look at over the winter at least.

Not a lincoln, but I sprayed this one with Dupont Hot Rod black about a year ago and its held up very well so far. I think it looks best on older cars myself.

    50 Cadillac

I believe the car was towed to this spot last summer, but you should probably call Mike to be sure. Im sure he can give you a better idea of the condition of the underside and what it may need.

she goes to paint on mon.

I would suggest practicing on an old door or hood if possible to get the hang of it, and keep track of how much flattener you add to get the look you want. Just take your time and cover all your bases, you will do fine. some of my work...

she goes to paint on mon.

Just my opinion, i have sprayed a few different brands of satin black and Dupont's Hot Rod black seems to have the best semi-gloss look and be the most durable. I think its a cool idea, my son is wanting me to do his 87 mustang with it.

After wet sanding, clearcoat with SEM 21013 for uv protection. It comes in an aerosol and will make them good as new.

    Electronic shift improver

Cool, thanks. It sounds like for the money it may be worth a try. I did find a site that says you can use it and the j-mod together. Just looking for a way to firm up the shifts without tearing into the trans too far or shortening its life. The j-mod doesnt look too complicated though.

    Electronic shift improver

Does anyone have any experience good or bad with the B&M shiftplus electronic shift improver? Im wondering how effective it is, and if there are any potential down sides to using it on a trans with 160k on it. http://www.jegs.com/i/B-M/130/70381/10002/-1?parentProductId=748074

    Weekend paint job

I dries very hard, so it takes alot of work to polish the scratches out after you wetsand it. Especially on black. If you can get it sprayed without any dirt getting in it, it really doesnt need polished but thats hard to do in my old booth. I usually wet sand with 1500 then 3000 on a DA...
